Paxum or Payoneer?
I'm hesitating between these two cards and wanted to know what are the "for and against" for each card?
I know I'm probably late in asking this question but hey I just returned to the industry so indulge me ;) Why should I pick one over the other because I don't want to have both... Thanks |
I have been very happy with Paxum. Great support and plenty of people are using it now in the industry.
|
Why don't you want to have both?
|
I used to use epassporte and honestly liked it a lot until you know what... is it basically the same thing or better?

Paxum all the way. Lower fees and great support.

AFAIK, and anyone can feel free to correct anything that's wrong in this:
Payoneer was an alternative to Epassporte (ie, it existed at the same time, and has been around for 5 years or so), and started off, or was primarily, in the mainstream (non-adult) world, whereas Paxum appeared as a replacement/successor to Epass when Epass imploded. Apparently Paxum asks for scans of your ID all the time, judging by all the threads about it here, and has had all kinds of dramas, which usually eventually get forgotten about/resolved. They seem to have quite a few critics but also quite a few fanboys here (who will no doubt reply to this thread). Payoneer is rarely mentioned here. Paxum seems to be used by more adult programs than Payoneer, though most cam and dating sponsors seem to have Payoneer as an option. I'm not sure if Paxum is also used by mainstream sites, like Payoneer is, but I don't think so. Oh yeah, I believe Paxum is a penis pill company, whereas apparently Payoneer is the card of choice of Mossad. :upsidedow As to why use both, why not? They're both free. (AFAIK) Edit: I dunno, maybe Paxum has a setup charge. I think Payoneer is free anyway, but don't quote me on that. Oh, and they both use the same bank in Belize or somewhere. I wouldn't take the word of people here about "lower fees", BTW, there have been threads where Payoneer has claimed to have no fee (for something I've forgotten - but maybe to do with wires) that Paxum has, even though they have the same bank. So your best best is to check their websites for their fees, rather than relying on the word of people here who probably don't know exactly what kind of fees there are. |
trusting pseudo banks with your money is a very risky

Paxum started the process of getting setup in 2007 well before epassporte went down. It just happened to be during the time that epassporte went under we got to the point of launching. You can not just start a service like this overnight. As for us requesting documents. Yes we do require documents to verify your account with us as should all services like ours. As far as always request new documents. The only time we need new documents is when your old documents expire. You also mentioned a setup fee. Paxum does not have any setup fee. The fee you are thinking about is our yearly card maintenance fee. That is totally optional. You are able to withdraw your money in our system without having the card avoiding that fee. Some other companies charge monthly for the card or different rates based on volumes and other complicated setups. We have everything 100% transparent and even across the board for everyone with our fee's clearly stated on our website. |

Both...
They complement each other. Paxum is more for adult and payoneer more for mainstream. |

Paxum.
Best support.Hell they are already on this thread! Cheaper fees. Easy to learn and more people have it then Payoneer. :pimp |
Paxum :thumbsup :thumbsup
|
both are good!
|
My personal experience with Payoneer: its ok but the exchange rates and fees are high.
|
I really like my Paxum. The only thing that is a little annoying is when you use the card to pay some stuff in supermarket and even if you buy for few dollars or so I also get charged $1 for some fees or something.. but thats just minor annoyance :)
|
My choice PAXUM
|
i use paxum and have a paxum card the first time i used my card it said unauthorized access i would be a bit worried if i only had my paxum card on me in an emergency
|
Paxum is the better of the two choices if you are located in the US. The one time I looked into Payoneer there were different rules for the US and it was not worth it to me personally to waste the time setting up the account. I have heard of some people having issues with Paxum in the past but I have not experienced any at all. Very easy to use, funds get into my account fast and support is outstanding.

have both and have been happy that i have both few times already :)

Regarding fees, as you mentioned, your best bet is to go to the actual application and view the complete list of fees. We have no hidden fees, everything is listed there, and you will see that our fees are highly competitive and among the best available. We also offer customer support via live chat, e-mail, and telephone (free of charge) at: http://www.payoneer.com/contactUs.aspx If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them (either via this thread, or contact info in my sig). Not all sites have a minimum requirement to sign up for Payoneer, but that is determined by the site. Once you've signed up for Payoneer, you can link your card to additional accounts with as many of our partners as you'd like. In addition, we now allow direct sign ups for the card via http://www.payoneer.com/cardholdersIntro.aspx. Due to US regulations, however, US residents cannot sign up directly, they must apply via a partner of ours. |
paxum :thumbsup

All you need is the email address of the person you wish to send money to. Specify the amount, the currency, and the email address and click send. The payment is sent instantly to the person you are paying. No holds. The fee to transfer to another Paxum account is $0.25 USD per transaction for personal clients, and $1.00 USD per transaction for business clients. Thanks to everyone who posted Paxum in this thread! :thumbsup |
depends on what you promote I guess.. both are good... if you promote paysites.. paxum..
promote cams is payoneer |
I use both. No problems so far with either.
|
Wow I didn't think I'd get so many great answers even less answers from the actual companies!!! Well my choice is made, signing up tonight. Cheers to all.

Someone asked Paxum recently what info people see when sending and receiving, so maybe a Payoneer rep can answer the same question about Payoneer. Ie, what information do people need/see about the account they are sending to, and what information do people need/see about the account they are receiving from. Name, address, account name/email, card number? I'm curious about that, because one question I have is about Payoneer cards being loaded by third parties, via their credit cards, since it seemed to me to on the surface to be a potential 'adult' alternative to Paypal (if people could pay directly to your Payoneer account with their credit card). Though I suspect (legally necessary) restrictions and rules (AIUI the loads are done manually, and can be rejected) mean it's not quite as convenient or instant as Paypal. Anyway, it seems the person sending to a Payoneer account (via a credit card) needs to know the card number of the person they are sending to, or, when sending to someone's Payoneer account (from your own credit card) via their email address, you get to see all or part of the receiver's Payoneer card number. Something like that anyway, which seems... odd. I'm talking about this page: https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx . |
<3 Paxum

The transfer is entirely free of charge and funds will be available on the account (that you're sending them to) within minutes. You will need the e-mail address of the account that you'd like to transfer funds to (or the card number). The person making the transfer will not have access to personal account details of the account they are sending funds to. They will be able to see the e-mail address and last 4 digits of the card only. Details such as the account holder's name, address, etc will not be displayed. Quote:
I hope I was able to answer your questions, however if not please let me know. |
I like Payoneer, but your best using both imo

I'm happy to see you're part of our referral program. You are using a link that can be problematic. Please use the original link that was sent (don't click on it) - it should be much shorter, something like http://share.payoneer.com/m/afewnumbers. You can log back in to the referral program here http://share.payoneer-affiliates.com/m/164278324 to get the correct link or email me at taliakl at payoneer.com for help. (Anyone can use the link I posted for the referral program) |
