I certainly believe that a lot of this scare crap is being used to manipulate the public. I don't pay any attention to (in fact, I hever never even seen) the daily "warning level". I wouldn't even know that orange is bad except they made such a big deal out of it the last time.

I thought it was classic that at a time where support for a war against Iraq was slipping, what do they do?

1 - Raise the terror level up a notch to scare people.

2 - Release bogus information that Iraq is connected with Al Queda.

On one hand I believe quite a lot of these alerts and warning at the moment are for propoganda purposes on the other if somebody had said on Sept 10th that 2 planes controlled by terrorists would crash into the WTC and kill many innocents I think many of us would have thought they were full of crap.
