Vbulletin 5 is out, I wonder how long of a lag this will be.
 

It's like the whole windows version thing. Just recently 7 surpassed XP which came out over 10 years ago.

When will GFY upgrade to 4? Of course upgrading screws up all the custom skins and possibly plugins. Well, as long as you can fend off security breaches there's no reason to.

I got their email today, im not a fan of vBulletin 4 at all, we use on most of our sites version 3. It does have its benefits for SEO but the layouts suffer, i really cant stand vb4 and now they have the 5 beta version.

I'll probably buy now as it gives you access to the 5 yet you can still download the 4.2.

They said they'll do releases every 18-24 months, typical with anything to do with software.

$209 to upgrade for previous license owners.. unreal.

I'll stick with 4.x for the time being.

A fellow GFY'er was showing me some of the new VB features at lunch the other day, it's pretty impressive how far this update takes the VB platform.

I got 50 emails today from vbulletin... all spam however from a forum gone to spam hell
