If N. Korea had Mothras DNA and Japan found out they were in talks with the Raelians (ClonAid), would Japan have the authoritah to bomber N. Korea? Would that be considered "a self-defense measure" ??

Oh you mean those guys who pushed an american fighter/spy plane off course to steal the technology, then blamed us for it and demanded an apology, holding the crewmembers hostage and stripping the plane until it was nothing more than a shell?

I'm very much thinking that China, if and when they decide to take sides, will defiantly send a couple million to fight against the USA just because they can.

Course, if they do that, thier economy is going to go to shit...America imports everything from toys to toilets from them.

If I could afford it I would move to the hills of Arkansas.

It's so fucking beautiful in the Ozarks and you would never have to worry about any fucking bombs out there.

Creeks, streams, woods, fresh air.

I envy my parents. They live up in the Ozark mountains by an old hippy ranch from the 60s. It's Pure up there.

Plus, a house that would normally cost $1,000,000 anywhere else you can get built for a fraction of that. (Less than 200k)

As soon as I can afford to build a house and live off of the internet, my ass is back to Arkansas...I'm heading for the Ozark Mountains.

China knows its cool to be quiet and leave the US guessing as what their position is.... Because it gains concessions for them.

Consider the first encounter with Saddam. At the start of the conflict, China was in a state of embargo too, just like Saddam is now, they were in the embargo partly because they are communist but mostly these sanctions were placed on them as a consequence of the human rights violations during the Teinamen Square incident, where innocent protesters were killed, and run over by tanks and shit.

That left China with only 1 export... arms to the middle east. During this time, Saddam and China got very 'chummy'.

And it led Saddam to believe that he had the backing of China when he made his move on Kuwait. But in the 11th hour, the US met with China and agreed to lift the embargos, and sanctions and granted them all sorts of benefits.

So China backed out, and left Saddam high and dry, holding his balls to get raped.

After 4000 odd years of playing war games, nobody is better at it than China, and they owe allegiance to nobody. In fact they'd just as soon hang N.Korea out to dry, and would consider it a masterful stroke of political genius, when they count their booty after all is done.

Some words of wisdom from Paul Hogan, aka Crocadile Dundee.. "Just remember, When everyone else in the room are losing their heads.. gee.. you'll be the tallest one in the room!"

I believe this is Chinas philosophy. Or in other words its extremely unlikely we'll see China get involved in a war, they'd just as soon watch everyone else fuck themselves up, while they chug on. If America and Europe and everyone else in the world were to destroy themselves, that would leave China as the dominant economic super power of the world.

I bet Asian based corporations are giggling to themselves right now.

But it seems really silly that Japan would want to create instability in Asia, I can see why the USA would want it, though.

I wonder what mega-political deals are going on behind the scenes that we know nothing about.

We live in scary times.

Hasn't been this scary since Poppa Bush was in office. ;)

Even if I did think the end was near, I most likely wouldn't post about it because:

1) What good would it do

and

2) It is a lose/lose statement that can never be proven correct.

(If everyone dies, who do you prove it to, and if nothing happens, you look like a paranoid freak. Lose/Lose statement)

Just my .000048 cents worth.
(Current leadership has devalued my two cents this much.... ;(

Japan cannot send armed forces out of their territory until their Constituion is changed to START anything. Only in self defense. Not saying they might not break that... but alot of other countries would get bent that were involved in WWII as well as the occupation of Japan afterwards.

When Iran threatens the oil region with nuclear weapons in 5 years, it will be the Hillary Clinton years :1orglaugh

I don't think they can use force, it is against the surrender of WWII, they don't even technically have a military it is a "defense force". But don't count them out I think it is the 3rd largest military spending country in the world =)

Interesting, but I think you are giving China's strategic prowess and long-term vision a bit too much credit. This is the same contry that brought us the "great leap forward" and the "cultural revolution." I agree that China can be unpredictable, ironically even when it's own interest is in consideration.

What makes China dangerous is their leaderships willingness to engage in nationalist self destructive behavior, in order to maintain political, cultural and economic control.

Imagine Bush or Clinton, with no checks and balances.

Remember this when considering the N Korea/Japan situation:

The Koreans HATE HATE HATE the Japanese.

The Japanese are the same way.

The Japanese occupied Korea during WW2 and did all sorts of nasty things. They've invaded and conqured Korea several times over the last millenia or so.. Only once has Korea ever won.

The Japanese took women slaves, fucked up the Feng Shui of Seoul, and did all sorts of crap that pissed the Koreans off, in addition to the whole conquering them thing.

Now, I can imagine that the N Koreans would love to nuke the Japanese, and I can imagine that the Japanese see the same thing. I can bet that if they could, they would send at least one nuke in Tokyos direction. It's so close, they wouldn't even need their one ICBM - they could use an SRBM most likely.

Getting pretty tense over there.

Cheers,
Backov
