Is foot fetish considered a narrow niche?

Hi guys!

I am trying to explore some possibilities to create a new website, maybe this time something with a less general audience.

I started to read about foot fetish and there seems to exist a LOT of websites about this (much more than I imagined). Is it a good idea to start something in this area?

My idea is to provide free content and promote other websites. Do you think that this niche is too crowded already? Too much competition? Is there a large audience for this type of content?

Thanks for reading!
Best regards,

Fuck competition. Just make yours better.

If you know nothing about Foot Fetish, you'd better spend your time working on other niches. Anyway...Foot Fetish is made up of many, many, many smaller niches: those are not crowded, but you need to know them in order to get good sales.

Check out our network ;)

Thank you for your replys!

My idea was to compile photos from magazine shoots (both adult and non-adult/fashion) from all over the world.
Some of the content would be of famous/celebrities feet, but most of the content would be from less known models in magazine shoots. I would only select pictures where bare feet are visible (and maybe add an external link to the rest of the pictures).

The content might be hard to get, but with effort I might get several daily pictures (and up-to-date)

Do you think that it is a good idea? Can I take profit out of it? Or the audience is mostly looking for more explicit content?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Best Regards,

couldn't you get in legal troubles just copying those magazine photos?

Maybe. I still don't know how I am going to do it, I'm just exploring ideas and getting some opinions about the value of a project like this.
Maybe using press release pictures might save me from these kind of problems. It is still just an idea.

Foot Fetish seems to be a large and somewhat saturated niche. Maybe you could get creative with it. But if your thinking about making a video site, look at the stores on clips4sale and you will see all the competition. I mean these girls are literally spreading their toes more than the girls in the 90s were spreading their legs. How about a site where you have sexy feet in frame/focus, but then you drop an egg on the foot and have your model smear a raw egg in between her toes? I know that's a bizarre example...but you will have to do more than photocopy and paste magazine pages.

So basically not a good idea, iyo.
Tbh I know nothing about foot fetish, I'm just exploring this possibility, but I believe this kind of content is not very common (at least I didn't find any website like that).

Isn't a magazine picture (a pro photo shoot) with bare feet something good to be appreciated by those who like feet?

The foot market is very big but if you do decide to do it you might be able to create a dent into the biz as well, especially if you stay consistent. I'm happy to contribute with exclusive shoots if you decide to get started.

By not knowing anything do you mean that you do not have any personal interest in this fetish yourself? I'm not sure if you are just starting off, or what, but in my experience, it helps to go with a niche that represents something YOU are interested in as well. Maybe it's because you can relate to the fans, and you know what they want, you know the history, where to go, etc. And above all, you will enjoy what you do that much more.

I'm hardly an expert, but reading the OP this was my first thought as well. If you don't understand the fetish (and really, 'foot fetish' is a general category with a million different niches contained within it) you can't target what your potential audience would pay to see, and you won't find the spaces in the market you can fill in with your content. You need to know what your potential audience WILL want if you want your project to succeed

Whatever niche you decide to break into, do yourself a favor and educate yourself on the fetish first by reading niche-specific forums and groups and exploring the content already out there. That sort of research will show you which of your ideas are really viable. I def wouldn't recommend a plan to use celebrity images or anything you don't hold copyright to use, however. If your site fails no one will care, but if you do succeed you'll end up with a huge headache dealing with copyright issues.

good luck with whatever you decide :)

Very well said JesseQuinn.

And by the way...the magazine photos idea...well, believe me, that content is all over the web. It's just that, because of you don't know the niche, you don't know where to look. That's all. Trust me, if a celebrity (or sort of celebrity) shows her feet on a photo...that photo will be on the web in a matter of minutes...

Thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it.

It is true that I don't have personal interest in the fetish and it seems that I know nothing about it so I think I'm staying out, at least for now :)

nyllover: I know that "real" celebrities get a lot of attention and their feet are no exception... But what I was thinking about offering was more than that... There are a LOT of magazine photoshoot of not known (or less known) models (most of the shoots actually).
Most of the pictures show no feet, so the overall photoshoot might not be interesting for this kind of audience, but only 1 pic out of 20 or 30. I would search that one to display.

I am just explaining my line of thought, cause I already understood that it is not a good idea!

Thanks again ;)

Believe me...what you are thinking about exists since a long, long, long time :)
