Bella Cash is threatening me, I've done nothing wrong. Advice?
 

Last night I received the following email:

It's apparently a fake account for Bella Cash's model "Bryci", and is automatically updating by importing posts from a blog I run. PornThings [.] tumblr [.] com IS my blog that I use as an affiliate promotional tool, but the fake Bryci account has nothing to do with me and I was just as surprised to see what's happening as he was.

It shocks me that someone would create a fake account and import posts from my blog, I have no idea what their reasoning is, but I have nothing to do with it and would never do something so stupid so as to impersonate someone like that.

I have nothing to hide and I have done nothing wrong. I have no control over that fake "Bryci" Facebook account and am at a loss.

Any advice, suggestion, etc., is welcome.

OK, first of all, if any of that is making them sales, they're retards for wanting it pulled.

Second, the first measure they should take is contact Facebook or flag the page or something. AFAIK Facebook is NOT tolerant of porn.

Third, threats are fucking childish either way... I know they're trying to protect their content and whatnot and I agree they should. BUT there are significantly more diplomatic ways of doing so. I do understand them being mad though.

Tell him to contact facebook and that it is not your page. Tell him you have no control over it if you truly don't...I just saved you 2k in legal fees. There you go. :)

It's not me. I have no idea who did it or why anyone would link to my blog. It's not benefiting me (I never made a Bella Cash sale) and it's certainly not benefiting the person who created it. Bella Cash closed my affiliate account with them, which is fine, but I am concerned about my other account with GodsGirls being shut down because that one is important to me. This is aggravating.

Yeah that sounds like Bellacash, not a bad guy just extremely protective on his content.

That's totally understandable and I'm fine with him closing my BC affiliate account as well as no longer posting any BC models because it's not that big a deal to me at all. But threatening my other accounts is what is really not cool with me especially considering I've done nothing wrong and am baffled by this Facebook thing as well.

I'm trying to chalk it up to an e-mail written in the heat of passion. We've all done that, but ... wow. I'm a big "benefit of the doubt" kind of guy, though, so we'll see what time tells us.

What happened to the tumblr blog?

The fake Bryci Facebook account is importing posts from my Tumblr account (which include my affiliate links), which is frustrating me a lot because it serves them no benefit so why do it?

I changed it's name in hopes that the fake Facebook account can no longer import from it.

To be fair, maybe that email was typed out when he was feeling particularly dark about having people copying his content; maybe it wasn't the first email he'd had to send that day. But yeah, it does look a lot like a tantrum. I especially like that it came from "Bella Network Legal Department", that's definitely something composed by a legal professional! :1orglaugh

Agreed. Something similar to this happened to someone else not too long ago. I think he threatened to tell 600 or some other random arbitrary number of affiliates that the offending affiliate was a bad person. Or something similarly retarded.

If I were in your shoes, I would contact CCBill to inform them of the situation and ask it's even possible for him to get any your non-BellaCash accounts suspended. Good point. Considering that Bryci is his girlfriend, it may very well have been written in the heat of passion. Or maybe he's just off his meds. We've all been there before, right? :thumbsup

The EASIEST resolution to this is to get the damn fake FB page removed...go report it, and have him, as well as anyone else who you can get to care, to report it.
Explain to him, if you haven't already, what is apparently going on.

Asking for advice here, is all well and good, but common sense dictates, to get the damn FB page removed. {It says it's only been there since Wednesday...so, it ought not be too difficult}

I can see how it looks, but how it looks is not how it is. This is exceedingly alarming to me that someone would go through the trouble of creating a new Facebook account simply to link to that blog when nothing benefits them out of it. And I actually don't benefit at all either as I've never made a Bella Cash sale. I'm not upset about losing their affiliate partnership and I'm fine with going our separate ways, but I'm incredibly frustrated that this is happening in the sense that someone created this account and it's clearly making me look bad. I've got nothing to hide at all here but other than reporting the account (which I've done) and changing the blog's address so that the Facebook can not import anymore, I don't know what else I can do.

It's fairly common and doesn't make you look bad really. Somebody is scraping your content. That's the end of the story. If it's not you, you did nothing wrong, and there is really not much you can do about it nor do you need to.

The real beef is with the guy that is impersonating this model. There is nothing wrong with your content use, from what I understand.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Someone wants to put a new site up and they can just grab some content so their site/page looks active by using a feed. Your site just happened to be the feed chosen.

If the page gets enough 'Likes' it can be used for marketing other things. You never know, the owner could have done the same thing with 50 other blogs. Or maybe they're some weird fan and that's a quick way of kick starting the page.

Frustrating! All I care about, really, is my main CCBill account so I'm hoping that stupid Facebook gets removed and my other account left in tact.

The one thing GFY has always been a great resource for is in revealing someone's true level of professionalism, be it that of affiliates, webmasters, brokers or program owners.

No he is not with spunkycash. As far as I remember he sold his GND network to spunky and moved onto bellacash.

Completely agree, I had a sponsor do that to me once, they even called me via telephone, they were threating me badly... but finally they just closed my account.

And all because I created 5 blogs with 5 of their girls names (not impersonating anyone, although most people do it, but I created blogs of the girls)... And the girls saw the blogs and they were pissed. TRULY SUCKS...

That's another reason to take care of what PERSONAL INFO you give the sponsor NOWADAYS, since that day I really take care because NOWADAYS sponsors are really acting like Fucking IDIOTS, so must take care of what personal info you give to them, because they CAN ABUSE THE SYSTEM to MOLEST YOU.. Really sucks that a sponsor does that. After all we ARE sending them sales, we are not ENEMY.. but the sponsors sometimes take their OWN AFFILIATES as ENEMIES.. I hate when that happens and I specially HATE when a sponsor ACTS like a fuckign NAZI... At the first warning sign I see of a sponsor contacting me because of some bullshit, I STOP PROMOTING them because it always leads to the same end...

Easy fix, start using those blogs to send traffic to a different sponsor. I still have it in for a sponsor who strong-armed a friend of mine into selling them a domain ranking 2nd for a paysite name of theirs. One of these days I'll rank a site for that name and send the traffic to a different sponsor. If I ever get of my ass, that is. :1orglaugh
