Looking for partner/ OSX coder..

As some of you know, my "other" biz has been in marketing and production of mac and iOs games and apps...

and I've hit a bit of a problem with one of my Mac apps...
I code for iOS and Android using certain SDK's that allow me to avoid learning Objective C

a few years back I managed to create an application for Mac OSX that's done pretty well, considering I never bothered to put it into the app store, and it was basically free all over the web, except on my dev site, where I charged $5 at times, took donations to continue developing at times, etc etc.. depending on what I felt like at the time, but regardless it's done well for a "strange app" on some "strange site" rather than the app store....

So now, a few years later, I've got this app, that's outdated and likely would never get into the app store cause I coded it using realbasic back in the day before the app store existed and all of apple's rules.

This app has WIDE appeal and will make money if updated and put in the app store.

I would like someone to take my idea, and current application and update it, I will produce all the graphics and other graphical assets to promote said app, and we'll split 50%/50% ...

I Know this app would make me a lot of money if I got it into the app store myself, but being primarily a designer, it's been real hard to learn the coding languages I do know... and every time I look at C my brain melts.........

There is very little actually involved in the app as far as actual code, but getting it through Apples sandbox regulations etc, might prove difficult.

I'd love the opportunity to discuss potential partnerships with programmers.

Please shoot me an email,
[email protected]

Unless you say something retarded, I'll reply, so if you get none... It's been spam boxed, and bump this thread.

I'm re-reading my post and I don't normally sound like a retard... I'm really tired.

I'll check back tomorrow ;)

to make money you gotta learn Objective C

Instead of splitting with a programmer, I would split with an investor. The investor can front the money to have it built and when your programmer bails (which he likely will) you can go find another programmer to continue making the changes necessary to continue making profit. If you split with the programmer, the minute he gets bored or finds something better to do, your product is done once again.

hmm...

interesting view.

Looks like I may have to look at other options considering finding a programmer seems to be a chore so far :P

I wish I could wrap my brain around Obj C - but I just can't...

I've managed to learn Javascript, php, and lua in the last year alone, but just can't even begin to grasp it :(

You should definitely jump into C or C++ before Obj-C.
It will make things a lot easier to understand.
