A dirty nuke would probably render that sucka useless or implode it.

I've been trying to find it on the news, but haven't seen it anywhere? Anyone else?

i think he means dirty bomb, the radioactivity doesn't make it more powerful, it just disperses radioactive material over a large area. so if they did something like that it would porbably be in a city like london for the most major impact. i watched a program on it the other day and you wouldn't believe the trouble one of these would cause, cancer for a relatively large proportion of those exposed.

I wouldn't doubt it bro. Those people are fucking crazy. A dirty bomb could do a lot of damage to a city if they were able to get away with it.

Er... "For" the chunnel, or just through it? Because a tunnel would be a useless place to use a dirty bomb.

but would assume that a chemical or radioactive weapon let loose inside there, would contaminate the tunnel for 100's or 1000's of years if you count 1/2life of whatever material they are using

yeah thats right, the tv show said they use cesium chloride which is like talcum powder and easily dispersed with the wind. apparently a scrap metal merchant in brazil or somewhere found a small shiny canister of it about 15 years ago and decided to cut it open to see what it was, and just from that they had to demolish whole blocks and dig up all the top layers of soil. they still have a field of big freight containers stacked up on top of each other and they can't get rid of it.

if it happened in say london or washington apart from the obvious loss of life, you would possibly have to knock down the white house or our houses of parliment and anything else the dust came into contact with. and then you get generations of people getting cancer and birth deformities, it's nasty shit.
