Hi everyone,


I want to announce the sale of my largest site, Shemp.com to adultwebmasternet.com

Shemp.com went online in November of 1998 and we have rarely missed a daily update since that time.
We hit the billion mark of unique visitors a few years ago and i stopped counting after that.
Some 1660 webmasters have had private submit accounts with us and a very diverse group it is,
from Luc Lonley (that's my one namedrop) to some of todays top players in our business.

Shemp.com stills turns a profit, not like the glory years, but a decent amount considering todays business environment.

I would like to thank my submitters, advertisers, trading partners,
hosts, former employees and contract workers, for their support and loyalty.
We set the bar pretty high for a free site.

There will be some loose ends to clean up:

Traffic Trades -
Please contact the new owners as the site will continue to trade traffic.

Prepaid Gallery Submitters and Advertisers -
I will be refunding money to you on a pro-rated basis, so you get paid back for the days left unused in your accounts. The same system will be used to refund prepaid advertisers.

Email -
The "*@shemp.com" emails, can no longer be used to reach me, so please use "shemp/at\usa.net"

As for me personally, I am not leaving the business. I still have many sites and
i just may acquire some new ones in the very near future. In the past, i have turned down offers to work for programs, maybe this time I will be a little more open to them. I certainly will have more time on my hands now.

I'm sure that had to have been a very big decision for you to make. I remember submitting galleries to you over 10 years ago. Time really flies.

I have a question though, what about the archives and the current partner accounts?

Or are these guys going to delete everyone's archive submits and turn off partner account submits like they seem to do with every other decent site they buy?

One of my favorite sites to submit to back in my gallery slinging days.

no, but looking back, 2004 would have been the best year to sell it..at least for revenue ...

Heavy sigh - Grats on the sale, the site will live on in great hands.... But of course this makes me sad.

It's been ages since I've submitted galleries but when I did Shemp was a mainstay. Thanks for being there Shemp (Rob) and best of luck going forward.

Remember the good old times of gallery submitting, getting 150k daily to my video galls, massive traffic. Getting traffic was so easy back then.. shame.

If you are looking at it from the point of view of direct TGP sales, then I agree. But there's a LOT of value with sites like this beyond a tgp gallery listed.

I'm guessing that is one reason AdultWebmasterNet is buying sites like Shemp's... they realize the value of such sites beyond the obvious that most folks see.

And most folks see fuck all. ;)

I must admit I see fuck all. If Spencer Pratt has nearly a million followers on Twitter, what kind of difference will Shemp.com make in product awareness?

I will rather see those old abandoned TGPs get sold and turned to a tube instead of die slowly.

PinkWorld, Tommys Bookmark, Richards Realm, Library of Thumbs.. jesus, those are fucking old sites with the same shitty design and their owners seem to not care anymore.

To say that you are a legend is putting it mildly, you are one of the single most classy people I've known in my 13 years in this industry. To anyone that's had even a second to talk with you, they know what I mean by that. You say what's on your mind but without putting people down to do it, this is class act to me. I don't know what your future holds for you, but whatever it is, enjoy it, have fun with it and most of all, I hope it makes you happy.
