And the hackers got this from the FBI who apparently were surveiling all those users.

Thank you for using Apple products.

London Banker 09-04-2012 08:20 AM

those UDIDs can control Facebook accounts.

Why is the FBI watching everybody anyway?

DWB 09-04-2012 08:54 AM

So this one FBI agent has 12 million apple IDs. Probably nothing to worry about.

Can't imagine what else the FBI illegally has access to.

"National Security" of course.

BIGTYMER 09-04-2012 09:09 AM

They mine our data all day long..

They even record callers on public radio.

Phoenix 09-04-2012 09:37 AM

wow....sucks...everyone has their cc attached to those ids as well

baddog 09-04-2012 09:47 AM

Apple users don't care.; it is part of the package.

Dirty F 09-04-2012 09:47 AM

I think i read it's not confirmed it's from the FBI. A bunch of hackers say they did. They are just as trustworthy as the FBI. Not.

djroof 09-04-2012 10:08 AM

Nice biz!

Don't worry the next gen Macbooks will include FBI protection for $500 extra as well as optimizations for Twitter and Facebook for $200.

You're right. I think I read that hackers are more trustworthy than the FBI.

Is the list of IDs posted anywhere?

Barry-xlovecam 09-05-2012 04:01 AM

[F]orbes cyber security reporter Andy Greenberg has downloaded the encrypted file posted by Anonymous containing the identifiers, and decrypted it. ?It does seem to be an enormous list of 40-character strings made up of numbers and the letters A through F, just like Apple UDIDs,? he reports. The data is being analyzed by cyber security research firms like Denmark?s CSIS, whose specialist Peter Kruse tweeted earlier today that three of his devices were in the leaked data. ...

I read that it was a National Cyber-Forensic Training Alliance (NCFTA) file. Most personal data was missing from the file.

You can read it here, download the file if you want, scan it yourself.

All to convenient for this to happen now... Apple stock hitting all time high and then winning the suit against Samsung.

Sounds like Nokia and RIM are behind this!
