Cocaine Cowboys fans... Griselda Blanco was assisinated

Have to use Google Translate...

I figured she had pulled off the perfect crime and since she had been back for a few years and nobody had gone after her nobody would.

Incidentally, her youngest son was arrested by the DEA down here in South Florida last summer for a big cocaine deal he was brokering. I think it was 30 lbs.

I actually liked the second one more but I wish Charles Crosby wasn't the one telling a story. He also died.

It was nothing suspicious. He just died a couple years back. I have no idea how.

Here is the rundown on her son Michael Corleone Blanco's arrest:

IDK, I may be wrong about Charles Cosby. I swore I had read or seen somewhere that he died, but I cannot find anything about it. Maybe he is still alive?

Wow. I figured she was already dead after getting deported. I thought for sure the Ochoas would have killed her by now for killing their niece.

yea, but that's probably like a few million $$ deal at most, bigger deals have been made on gfy... I would imagine that's hardly "big" in the drug trade... :1orglaugh

campimp 09-04-2012 07:43 AM

good movies.... i dont think Charles Crosby died, but he was definitely asking for it by doing that movie and continuing to hang out in his old neighborhood

Now these are not peanuts

http://drugbustsworldwide.com/top-10/ 21 TONS of cocaine

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/201...rport-history/ -130 pounds

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-services.html -800Keys

http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...318805179.html -400 Keys

Wholesale price of 15 keys is well under $300,000 - It's about $10-15,000 each. Shows how successful the war on drugs, is as they used to be $100,000 each in the '80's.

$2 million for 15, that's the stupid numbers cops make up. First you'd have to cut it so badly that no one would buy it, then charge twice what everyone else is charging. You have 15 keys, you are going to wholesale it. Nobody is going to sell 15,000 grams. You'd need a dozen drive-thru windows to do that kind of volume. You're going to pay $300,00 hope to double your money and let the little guys take the heat.

Lets say the price range is the same as early 2000's (13,500), it only totals around 200K. Sunny Day right, it is peanuts in the larger drug trade.

Sunny Day 09-04-2012 11:48 AM

Prices

In the late 80's a friend of mine got busted with 4 keys. Told me he had paid about $60k was just going to flip them and if lucky make $20-40K.
In the newspaper, the police said the coke was worth $3.4 million. The city he got busted in wanted $140,000 in sales tax and the IRS wanted about $500,000 on money he would have never earned. He only did 3 years.
The police make up these outrageous numbers to lure more fools into the business to help keep their arrest numbers up and more people in prison.
Years ago, Forbes magazine did an article and stated the average gangbanger doing street corner sales probably could make better money at Burger King as the gang leaders took about 90% of the profits.
I used to laugh at the guys who didn't know anything about drugs, but were going to get a semi, go out to the ditchweed fields around here. Fill up the truck and magically find "Mr. Big" who would buy it all.

Its like saying - business making 100 million a year is peanuts because there are exampoles of businessess making 50 billion a year.

In police reports and press statements its allways the retail price value, not wholesale. Makes perfect sense.

My Colombian friend in Miami, never fronted me more than 5. Surprised I didn't get more as his cousin, who he worked for, was required to move 150 a month.

Glad that stress is long gone.

Of course there are bigger deals every day. It was still a wholesale trade that is considered big.

The irony of it all is she made popular the method of taking out rivals with assassins on motorcycles. Of course she would go that way. Making it to 69 with as many enemies she had is still impressive.

15 keys uncut/raw...is a big fucking deal. :2 cents:

Not everyone is Pablo Escobar.

I will however agree that law enforcement tends to jack up prices.
