ggrrssyydik 09-03-2012 11:28 AM

I think it only works on chrome.

digitaldivas 09-03-2012 11:28 AM

yeah i am going to redo my sites in html5, the code is so much cleaner and i think as far as SE, that i should rank higher than using dreamweaver mx, circa 2001

I am now using CS5 and it makes everything so much easier

Yeah Im on my mac too, so only safari for me. I could either switch over or rdp to a pc and try it. But yes I like html5 too. Easier for me to code and debug. Even tho others told me different.

ya, so far it does seem really easy to debug as well. do you find that your getting ranked higher on SE's because you switched your code?

halfpint 09-03-2012 11:58 AM

We are sorry, but it appears that your browser does not support WebGL. Please download Google Chrome and try launching this site again.

Google can go and fuck itself in the ass and suck on an aids infected cock then curl up in a rat infested corner and rot in hell

thats the thing, it will only be whenever browsers become compliant with the new css, html5 standards, that one could go nuts with graphics. Not to mention the masses getting 2010 or later hardware to view it.:mad:

When I wrote the 2 sites I have I started off the bat with html5, But comparing to the other sites I wrote (non adult) before I started using html5 I would have to say yes, they are ranked a lil higher.

seeandsee 09-03-2012 12:08 PM

michael.kickass 09-03-2012 12:13 PM

Take a look at Drudge Report http://www.drudgereport.com/ ... among the most popular websites in the world and yet the entire thing is very simple HTML. A less extreme example, though still relatively simple, is Wikipedia.

Point is, ultimately, content is what brings people in, and keep them coming back.

Also, many people these days are using mobile phones and other hand-held devices that have small screens and limited computing power.

On a related note, HTML 5 unlike previous HTML versions is a constantly changing standard (an oxymoron), and hence designing to that is going to lead to much stress and disappointment. And don't count on downward compatibility either.

Yeah, as you can tell, I'm not a big fan of web 2.0 or 3.0 or whatever the buzzword is these days - I go to a site for a particular purpose / get content and can do without the glitz, which usually does little other than gets in the way and slows load time.

grzepa 09-03-2012 03:45 PM

Imagine this kind of thing in 1996

I agree Ron, but as far as SE, my current pages are just a horrible nightmare, I could be doing so much better... Or just redo the code, but html 5, stripped down, without all of the sprockets, etc is still compatable with 90 percent of browsers, recently, one of the bigger tube sites went to html5 and word has it, that they are now doing 1/3 more traffic. Which in they're case is almost 2 million hits a day, which is just ridiculous.

anexsia 09-03-2012 04:22 PM

I was able to view it with Firefox, although it started messing up around the halfway mark.

SpicyM 09-03-2012 05:10 PM

well HTML5 is far from final, but it is a really nice, stable platform, and we all will have to do something eventually because of flash dying. I am simply trying to get ahead of the curve. :winkwink:
