Which would you rather have?

A huge network of small blogs or 1 authority site.

Same revenue and same costs. Which would you prefer?

BIGTYMER 09-01-2012 08:10 PM

The 1 site.

Colmike9 09-01-2012 08:10 PM

If it's same revenue and costs, definitely the one site..

SilentKnight 09-01-2012 08:12 PM

One site - generally easier to manage.

topsiteking 09-01-2012 08:13 PM

One site.

With google making changes the way they are - I'd take the network of smaller blogs :2 cents:

Depends on how brandable the one site is without needing SEs.. :upsidedow

Definably, small blogs are easy to make one good site is much harder.

ErectMedia 09-01-2012 11:48 PM

rather have 1 powerhouse than a bunch of shit sites assuming revenue is the same, less domain renewal fees as well :2 cents:

blonda80 09-02-2012 12:38 AM

one good site

The man says it, although I have no choice ATM and will be running one soon.

As far as I heard most of the people here on gfy are workaholics who stick to running 300+ blogs, go figure.

scarlettcontent 09-02-2012 02:41 AM

one site

I think the answer is obvious...

Rochard 09-02-2012 08:15 AM

I would rather have a large network of blogs.

I would love to have one blog that is huge and pulls in lots of money, but you can wake up one morning and all of your traffic is gone because of changes Google made. With a network of blogs your traffic is always in flux, some sites up, some sites down. etc.

Colmike9 09-02-2012 08:28 AM

So according to a lot of people, apparently one big site isn't good because it could drop from Google at any time...
Since when do real big, branded sites rely mostly on SEO to a point where it would go bankrupt without it's SE ranks? As a backup, hire someone to do CPC/CPM micro management and you won't even need SEO if you don't want it. Not to mention all of the other advertising and branding opportunities there are with one site that you can't do with massive networks.. :Oh crap
