Depends on the company you are applying for a job at. If you are applying outside the industry, I'd list the job but not any of the explicit porn details. Instead of saying you "built porn sites" say you "designed online entertainment sites". Highlight your skills and accomplishments not necessarily the details of where you attained them.

i wouldn't even put online entertainment.

Most porn companies have a non adult business name which they go under and using that name on your resume works fine.

i am not sure what area you work in? but from the previous post...i'd say you designed and implemented websites for online media companies...and expand on that...you can say whatever you want...it's all how you say it!!:thumbsup

back in 97 while being interviewed for web developer position at amex i told them about my involvment in adult industry, they were cought by surprize, conservative as usual, but i did well with reason how and where my skills were applied.
never had it on CV, i figured they would either pass it by or ask too many unrelated questions.

Of course mainstream bizz also knows who´s making the money
and where most of the traffic goes. Having experience in that
field is by many companies considered as a pro......that is if you
are looking for an internet job.

Sysadmins/Coders especially benefit from this.

What is a resume?

Absolutely! Especially if you were going for a tech related job in the mainstream... any company worth it's weight knows that our industry has technology and innovation by the balls!

And why the fuck would you want to go mainstream?

It really depends what you do. I keep a separate website resume for any non-adult stuff, although last couple of years I've been mostly adult. I've had negative reactions to just my nude drawings from some graphics employment agents, so use your judgement before showing off that bukkake DP site you're so proud of :winkwink:

This is what you do, call the company and pretend to be an adult company owner wanting to get a quote on a project. If they give you a quote then the company is porn-friendly and therefore they will see your porn-past as an advantage.
