Best photo camera for under $200?
 

GFY experts,

looking for a camera for pictures only that takes quality images for cheap. No its not for content, but I know they've made plenty of advances since my last camera 5 years ago, especially in terms of quality vs pricing.

I know $200 isn't shit, but I really don't need a lot of use out of it.

Canon Powershot line of cameras is good, or you could always do something like the Fuji S2000 or similar.

I wouldn't bother with a sub-200 point and shoot. The camera on my phone takes better photos than most of them at that price.

I despise smart phones, so I purchased an ipod touch.

Still, looking for something that takes bigger and better photos than this.

Surely someone on here has bought a cheaper camera for limited use and has been surprised by the outcome?

I realize the pics won't look like a high level canon or other thousand dollar cameras.

Anyone used a newer canon PowerShot?
