Help me understand what's going on... (Webair)
 
So I did cancel or atleast try to cancel my dedicated server at webair:

Still no reply about this.

Today I notice that I'm not able to login to Webair controlpanel. I could login to the FTP earlier today but it's not working now.
I cant even ping the server anymore, have they already taken it offline maybe? I've already paid for the full month of August so that would be wrong...

I send another email asking why I cant login:

You told them you wanna move. They nuked your server and wiped you from their client db. You're shit out of luck.

Next time, move your shit and tell them to go fuck themselves AFTER you've done so.

Yes, Im afraid this is what happened. If you did not move or back up your site before. Im afraid its lost in the internet for good. Next time I recommend back up your site on a HD that you can actually touch and feel.

I had servers with securedservers, decided I needed managed and told them I was moving. They certainly kept them up and even told me they would keep it live after term date in case I needed to access them. We needed to access 2 weeks after the term and it was still online.

That's how some companies roll.

And yes, fuck webair. They're the worst. No amount of fake nicks can make up for the amount of complaints legitimate webmasters have made over the years.

As for your server, to take it offline early, to not even response to your question asking when it will be taken offline is complete and utterly, not a surprise...this is webair you're talking about.

There are plenty of American companies that treat customers like shit and get away with it, Especially in hosting.

I've been with securedservers for 2 years now. Definitely one of the best hosting companies that I've personally been with.
