    microsoft beeing a bit smart

    Microsoft is sort of doing what apple did.

    apple got people onto the ipod and slowly converted them to there own pda known as the iphone.

    Microsoft has not done well with the tablets so far, but by making its operating system more tablet 'like' they are slowly converting people to there own tablet format.

      Microsoft's whole campaign over the last decade has been "the PC isn't dead". Yet, now with windows 8 they're trying to lock application purchases into their "store app" and their whole OS is more mobile based.

      Sorry, Microsoft is being stupid. They're alienating their very clientele and they're telling the world "I know we said the PC wasn't dead but it is and so now we're trying this instead". That's not going to work, it's going to dig their final grave. If you want to talk about mobile, then Apple and Android are the standard, Windows isn't going to come in make a last run - linux now has the market.

      We might actually finally see Microsoft die, finally. Without the PC they have no place in this world.
