My Boys 21st B-Day... What to buy him?

He's already got a cheque (for some good value) of cash - Thats irrelevant (To ME)

Gonna get him some aftershave as well.. (Wrapped up nicely)

But... WHAT ELSE?

:helpme:helpme:helpme:helpme:helpme

halfpint 08-30-2012 07:30 AM

i thought you just got him a car?

has he got a gps? its one og the best things i ever got myself.

TheLegacy 08-30-2012 07:47 AM

Well no one knows your boy better than you - if he's adventurous then a skydiving or helicopter ride - if he's a geek then a doctor who item or a designer computer - if he's like most gfy kids then a 21 year old girl as a present

MaDalton 08-30-2012 07:48 AM

his own toilet?

AllAboutCams 08-30-2012 08:08 AM

Go for a nice meal

No, he had my old car - Which he has been looking after, good as gold :)

He doesn't travel far enough to warrant a gps.. :thumbsup

Scott McD 08-30-2012 09:14 AM

For a 21st?

Get him a stripper...

ggrrssyydik 08-30-2012 09:15 AM

Take him on trip. Vegas, or the Caribbean. A nice drink mixer with matching shot glasses with his name engraved on it.

or get him a pack of condoms and a ticket to vegas.

Lonny 08-30-2012 09:17 AM

A pooper scooper would be ideal.

On a serious note find out what he likes and go big with it.
Or as someone pointed out a dinner with him would be nice plus
some cash to do what he wants with it. Cash would make anyone happy.

CurrentlySober 08-30-2012 09:21 AM

As for the dinner suggestion, I took him and his GF (19) for a meal, last month on Her birthday...

It cost a negligible amount - They chose the place - Nothing fancy...

But it is his 21st.. Hence my post :(

John-ACWM 08-30-2012 09:22 AM

Maybe a new phone...something he likes.

ggrrssyydik 08-30-2012 09:23 AM

What does your son likes? whats his hobby?

Is your son in here the UK with you? I like the idea of a trip - maybe get one of those caravan holidays in the middle of nowhere. They aren't super pricey if he's not into the whole 'flash' thing, but you can get them in decent locations where him and his girl can go off and do their own thing. Or just laze around and watch TV all day.

If he likes it a bit more upper class, maybe a city break. Manchester is always a great time.

spazlabz 08-30-2012 10:19 AM

a pint and a very hot pro

edit: crap scratch that. he doesn't drink and he has got a GF

in all seriousness I am sure no matter what you come up with he'll appreciate it because it is coming from dear old dad. However I seem to recall a digital pinball machine you were eyeing a few weeks ago. would he be into something like that?

baddog 08-30-2012 10:20 AM

London Eye.

Actually, even though he was born and raised in the UK, has he ever been shown the history and why he should be proud of his heritage? Take him around and show him if it has not happened yet. Good bonding experience as well.

CaptainHowdy 08-30-2012 10:21 AM

An STD ??

lucas131 08-30-2012 10:21 AM

buy him ferarri. then he may buy one more and he is in ferarri club :)

Sophie Delancey 08-30-2012 10:21 AM

Maybe something symbolic of your bond?

Socks 08-30-2012 10:22 AM

If you're getting him aftershave then get him some nice Proraso shaving cream too

atom 08-30-2012 10:24 AM

For my 21st Bday, my parents got me and my GF at the time a killer suite at a nice hotel for the weekend along with tickets to a comedy club for one of the nights down there. I had a blast.

v4 media 08-30-2012 10:33 AM

My dad gave me 5grand for a house deposit for my 21st. Luckily I only needed 4 so had a mad weekend in Amsterdam with the rest of the cash.

Rochard 08-30-2012 10:43 AM

Buy him a hand gun. It's the American way.

Ross 08-30-2012 10:46 AM

My mum bought me a Puppy for my 21st. I didn't need anything, she couldn't think what to buy me. I had just had an offer accepted on my first house and would be moving out soon so she figured time to give me extra responsibility.

To this day, it is the best gift I ever received. Growing up, my brother and I weren't allowed a Dog, so getting this from my mum really meant something to me. He's 8 years old now and he still brings me happiness. Not many gifts can do that for all those years.

RuthB 08-30-2012 11:29 AM

When my brothers turned 21 my parents bought them each a really really nice watch. Not that many people wear watches nowadays though, but they're still a classic gift imo.

Happy 21st to your boy!! :GFYBand

SKUP 08-30-2012 11:43 AM

When I turned 21 my parents bought a real big dog.

To keep me out

Helix 08-30-2012 11:51 AM

A new com-poo-ter?

SeedyMedia 08-30-2012 01:38 PM

Mentioned already I know but it so depends on what his interests are. Is he into gadgets/computers/boy toys or is he more traditional and likes the simpler things in life?

Spunky 08-30-2012 01:42 PM

Pappy bought me Hookers and Blow!

:helpme:helpme:helpme:helpme:helpme

A tutor or a college edumacation? Don't want him to wind up illiterate like daddy...

Of course he's behind the curve, so you might have to hire a tutor.

He's 21. You're bragging... Eee.... Ahh... Ooo...

It all should have done by now.

BTW, Does your kid live with you? Do you have primary residence? Still married to his mom? If not, you're just posting more irrelevant shit.
