A good cheap host for an adult tube?

I just bought a cheap hosting package from adulthost.com - I should have checked first because it seems this company is a scam, the site doesnt work properly and its already been down once in the first 24 hours i bought it!

So i am wondering who knows off a good host for an adult tube site - I just want a shared account for like 10 bucks a month for now, while i build the site but once its going ill pay for a dedicated box.

Any suggestions?

lol i know, i dont want to spend hundreds a month for a site that does no bandwidth.. i just need something cheap i can start building the site on, then move it to a box when its got a few hits.. i hears ya tho!

try amerinoc they have good support and helped me setup my tube

A tube is typically resource intensive... storage, bandwidth, if you are building the site right.

If you are trying to build resource heavy sites on the 'cheap' you're asking for trouble.

I was going to try amerinoc but they had a few bad reviews around :(

And i know using a cheap host isnt the best idea, but im not going to pay 200 bucks a month for a dedicated box while the site does 1000 hits a day.. a decent host can move it to a box when its got enough traffic and its earning its keep :)

APTHost are good, i had quite a few teething problems to start off with but that was a couple of years back and it's been nothing but good since then - cheap as chips and tubes run fine with them.

Ok, you are looking for 2 hosts isn't, 1 cheap + 1 good.

Cheap = Hostgator.com/Amerinoc.com/etc/
Good = MojoHost.com

Old laptop/PC + your cable/DSL.

This. I bought a used server, set up my own, with a high speed connection. So far no issues.

Well considering i pay 50 bucks for 3GB bandwidth (Australia is a fucking RIP OFF for internet) - I wont be using my own connection for this :)

I use host gator for some sites, they fucking kick ass - But i doubt i can setup a tube site on it. I might check on that actually.

I will check into APThost, looks good - Thanks for posting :)

I would bet cash money that if you look around hard enough, you can find "a few bad reviews" about any host on the web.

It's a service business. There are going to be some people you can never make happy.

Would any $10/month shared host really enable you to run a tube site?

I vaguely remember years ago seeing Cirtex Hosting 'recommended' (via affiliate codes) for various tube scripts, due to their so-called "ffmpeg hosting", but I think CPU usage is perhaps even more of an issue for shared/cheapo hosts than bandwidth.

I suspect most would either can your site the second it became even remotely popular, or try and bump you on to a more expensive plan.

You could go with Cirtex Hosting. They have cheap accounts and are tube script ready.
