now kim, you talk about encryption on fly, for what? everyone knows if you crypt it means you want to hide something, and thats why the unbreakable encryptions are forbidden in usa ... oh man, why the fuck i even read that ... :)

georgeyw 08-29-2012 05:43 AM

I am a bit sceptical when I hear 'game changer' or 'change the world' as the last that was thrown about we got 'yessignals'.

You are wrong, unbreakable encryption is NOT forbidden in the USA.

now recognized by the United States government judicial system ? that any use of encryption (a) is a reasonable indicator that the encrypted material contains evidence of criminal activity or contraband and, (b) that the burden of proof transfers to the claimant to prove that the encrypted files do not contain evidence of criminal activity or contraband. Since it is already established law that under the Fifth Amendment, one cannot be compelled to reveal a password, it now appears clear that a prudent, law-abiding citizen has no option but to surrender his or her laptop upon demand by the Customs Service.

Yes, it's the same thing if you lock your door, then you're probably hidding children in your basement.

If you wont put a live webcam in your bedroom to show the world what you're doing then you're probably cooking up meth in there too.

Tell that to ANYONE that handles money as a business. They are probably just thieves since they hide a shitload of information. You do know that banks encrypt a lot of data, are you? They even hide paperwork in locked rooms!

Hiding information using encryption is just like hiding paperwork in a locked room. It's not because the paperwork is locked that it contains illegal activity. It simply means that it's not others businesses to have a look at its content.

do not speak out of your asshole
Encryption is used by Google searches, online banking. And there's that thing called PGP Desktop you can buy to encrypt your hard drive

Everyone is beginning to encrypt their drives so they better get used to it! It's so easy nowadays.
