Los Angeles County Health Department has reason to believe that this outbreak could go back as far as December of 2011 and are reaching out to all talent that has worked with Mister Marcus between Dec 1 2011 and now to please get in touch with them. It appears that there is more than one case in the industry of secondary stage Syphilis and at that stage it is HIGHLY contagious, even spreadable by kissing.

It may seem that this is not in our best interest as an industry but it really is. The sooner this gets contained and managed the better and the sooner we all get back to work and back to normalcy.

APHSS has been very irresponsible in it's recommendations, particularly that you take antibiotics withut a test and without any evidence that you were exposed. This opens the door wide for drug resistant strains to develop, you get a shot then get exposed again a week or two later you still get syphilis but there is a chance that it will no longer respond to the penicillin.

Anyone who reads this blog knows that I am not a fan of government intervention in anything but the one thing that is even worse is people with no medical background whatsoever advising you on health issues. If you think you have been exposed since December 1 2011, I would advise you to see your personal physician.

This is an extremely serious issue participating will not affect the outcome of the condom referendum, that die is already cast, what it will effect is you and your ability to get back to work. Just do it.

So much for everything the FSC/APHSS/Manwin has been saying. Won't be surprised if APHSS gets closed down by LA County for botching this.

If he was infected back in December... holy fucking shit. Can't imagine how many are really infected, and now it makes perfect sense why the FSC wants to just inject them all and not test. It would be a disaster for the industry for the real numbers to get out.

The problem is, they are injecting people without knowing what stage of syphilis they may have. For example, since this started a while ago, many of the people may have secondary syphilis which would need more shots. Instead, they are giving a blanket treatment to people assuming everyone does not have secondary syphilis, even though they may, like Mr. Marcus does.

LA Country is investigating it all now. I'd reckon some heads are gonna roll soon.

Glad I wasn't shooting at all {not for a great reason, though} this whole time, aside from just recently 2 or 3 BJ scenes with new girls that wouldn't have been out to LA yet.

Good advice...

If it was gonorrhea or chlamydia, it is good advice. If everyone stopped having sex it would be good advice. But since they don't know who has what, who is really patient zero (Mr. Marcus wasn't given syphilis from God), or at what stages others may or may not be infected, then they are being pretty reckless with this because it could change how they are given treatment. Once they figure it all out then they can do what they are doing now, or at the very least, treat them like they are doing now but wait longer than 10 days to start work. There is a reason the Europeans are waiting for so long to return to work. The odds of Mr. Marcus being the only person in the entire industry with secondary syphilis is pretty slim.

For example. Say you go and get your shot because you know for a fact you had limited exposure. So then you get cleared and it's all good, you're walking on sunshine. But what if the real patient zero isn't Mr. Marcus (it probably isn't) and that person may not even know they have it, get a single treatment when they really need several. Then they could possibly reinfect a lot of people again. Do you really want to keep getting shots because the people trying to handle this don't know what they are doing?

I'm sure most everyone will be fine, but porn valley should be taking hints from the Euro industry right now, and not from the guy who owns Porn Hub or the group who claimed they could protect everyone from 2257 inspections.

Considering the continuous misinformation campaign... I have no choice...

1) FSC did not decide anything on their own. They consulted 3 STD specialist including the top Syphilis researcher in the country, them together, the PROFESSIONALS, decided it is safer to give everyone a preventive shot of penicillin simply because the information of exposure was sketchy at best. (And the FSC never denied this to be the case btw, the exposure was simply not clear, and still is not fully clear today.)

2) I am not saying it is not spreading, but considering that as early as December there might have been Mr. Marcus with Primary Syphilis, thus him being contagious for roughly 3-4 weeks (while the chancre is not healed, after it is there is no infection possible until 2nd stage starts, which might start before or after it is healed), would mean that we should have seen more positives until now, at least thats what we should all hope! Look at the rapid spread in Europe.
There are 3 possible reasons for the difference in positives in my opinion: a) it did not spread as much, luckily; b) people are not testing, I hope thats not the case; c) people getting tested are not reported to LACHD.. We can only hope it is a)

3) One shot of penicillin does not all of a sudden render a bacterium like Syphilis resistant! Resistance of penicillin in bacterial infections is an issue across patients, not inside the same one. Increased use of penicillin causes bacteria that are resistant to it to increase in ratio to bacteria that is non resistant. So while bacteria spreads and over a long period of time, the whole population of the bacteria in a region or on the planet increases in terms of resistance. Stop putting fear in people, let them be helped!
If you are afraid of penicillin, there is a set of pills you can take too which are basically as effective, talk to your doctor about it! Do not let someone on GFY explain it to you!

4) 2nd stage of syphilis is NOT LATE STAGE. It does NOT REQUIRE 3 SHOTS!!!! http://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/STDFact-syphilis.htm - Read the first two lines of "What is the treatment for Syphilis?" from the CDC!

5) On top of the treatment with penicillin or a set of pills, Manwin and all other APHSS following companies will require a full panel test after the 10 days to verify that no contagious Syphilis is present. Testing with APHSS has doctors involved so they can make sure that the patient is ok if need be for whatever reason!

6) Europe is waiting 60 days to make sure everyone is treated before anyone continues to work. 60 days is a very safe number for this. They do not give penicillin to everyone to kill the bacterium while spreading. Just as well, if someone does not want to take penicillin but shoot with an APHSS following company, then they will have to wait for 90 days and be tested negative twice! So the US industry is simply offering a way to start working sooner, and if you follow APHSS you know that either someone got cleared because of getting the shot and being negative after, or because they were negative for 90 days without treatment.

7) Syphilis is contagious while there are unhealed sores! It is not contagious as long as the test for it is reactive!!!
