once again streamate shows their leadership in the cam industry... the email below was sent to performers. there were rumours early this year that manwin is in talks to buy streamate. now you know why.

Your performances can soon be seen on TV via adult pay-per-view! We will be launching our first TV channel and you will have the opportunity to be seen on screens larger than a desktop monitor...

Why would you want to be on TV? In addition to becoming a star in a new broadcasting medium, you will be guaranteed your GOLD Show goals for every show you do on TV! Need we say more?

We need YOUR HELP in making our channel a success. You need to opt-in for TV in order to receive requests from our producers. There are just a few simple rules you must understand and follow. Below is an outline of how to get started and the rules you need to follow. Be sure you read and understand ALL RULES before opting-in!! Failure to follow the rules will result in TV privileges being revoked permanently.

Note: Our first channel will be catered to male subscribers interested in female-centric shows. Males can opt-in for TV but they will not be receiving requests. Also, our first channel will be XXX which means oral, vaginal, and anal are all allowed!

TV Broadcasting Rules and Guidelines:

You must opt-in to receive TV Requests from the producer.

- Under "My Dashboard", you will see a "Television" choice.



- Television page contains the Terms and Conditions for the eligible performers with opt-in submission at bottom.



- You must read and understand ALL rules and submit your "Opt-in" checked selection in order to be considered for TV broadcast.



- Only female-centric shows will requested for the foreseeable future. You can opt-in if you have a male gender-based profile but you will not receive TV requests.

TV Broadcast shows are a little different than other performances.

- Producers will give you a guaranteed goal and you will ALWAYS meet it.

- There is NO geo-restriction for TV and you will be seen EVERYWHERE on TV regardless of geo-restrictions you have set! If you are concerned about privacy, TV is NOT for you.

- All TV Broadcast shows are GOLD Shows. There are additional rules regarding exact streaming settings needed in order to get a request.

Here are some of the additional rules for TV Broadcast. When opting-in, you will see the full list.

- You will be monitored and warned to correct any broadcasting violations. We may have to cancel your show and we can revoke your broadcasting privileges FOREVER!

- Depending on the TV network, you may be restricted as to what you can do in your performance.

- There is no copyrighted material allowed which means NO playing of music, TV, movies or use of copyrighted material/devices in a sexual manner.

- Absolutely no use of illegal substances is allowed.

- Requests will only come to you when you are not in a paid session. You may get a request in a GOLD Show preshow (which would cancel that show if accepted).

- Values presented for both money and duration are based on historical averages for your past successful GOLD Shows and cannot be negotiated.

- Requests are time-sensitive and actions are timed. Requests will self-cancel if not accepted. Once accepted, it's important that you follow all instructions from that point on. If not acted upon, the request will expire. Please note that repeated failure to meet these requests may result in you losing TV privileges.

Mixing adult live chat with TV is not new in itself, bluebirdtv and studio66tv have been doing this for a while. But charging via the phone. Doing it using the pay-per-view payment system may be new.

I've heard a lot of models say they are generally not enthusiastic about this Streamate offer though, the lack of flexibility about pricing, stricter rules, higher tech requirements for the stream, plus the lack of any geo-blocking seem to be the main objections.

Do customers really want to watch girls on their TV? Sure the TV is bigger but isn't it going to show how low quality many feeds are? Plus how do you interact with the model, keyboard? Phone?

Still it's great to see them pushing out the boundaries and trying new stuff, you never know what is going to stick.

I can order all kinds of online content on PPV. Why would I, though?

You just need an hdmi cable from your pc to your tv and you can watch whatever you want on a big screen.

If you have a modern TV, not like me with an antique! But even so it is still possible; I take my laptop and use a little VGA->RCA converter so I can watch content on my TV. For me that normally means BBC TV recorded with the BBC iPlayer Desktop over dinner. Yeah watch Celebrity Masterchef while I eat takeaway! :-)

In europe satellite's there is a few live shows but is not from sites, it is mostly on its own just made for sat, and most customers are from arabic countries :)

The way it works is :

- Pricing is based on the model's Gold Show price.

- Model is in a standard gold show and she receives a pop up saying a "producer" would like to know if you are interested in broadcasting.

- If model chooses yes her Gold Show timer restarts.

- She is guaranteed the rate of her gold show + any additional viewers of the show on the traditional Streamate network.

- Other than that, the model doesn't really "see" anything different than she would in a normal Gold Show.

- The $$ the model makes is significantly greater than in a traditional Gold Show because of the guarantee +


We have been broadcasting to TV via Streamate for the past 30 days and it is far more lucrative than traditional Gold Shows. These guys have their act together.

Congrats to them. I hope it succeeds because they are a great group to work with. I just hope my customers don't own any TV's o:1orglaugh

bit late with all new tv's with integrated internet access.

With just $40 you can buy an android small box/pen with hdmi and wifi support, some got also cute small wireless keyboards, this permits to use on TV any cam site supporting html5 HLS ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Live_Streaming ):

Tested one of those $40 chinese android smal boxes and could chat on our site and see video ok on 50" plasma with no issues. Just had to find how to switch from chinese to english in the language menu first :)

But what it matters it is the billing I think, billing in tv bill instead of enter credit card separately in an Epoch or such form from tv.

my guess is all the previous shows are recorded and will eventually be sold to anyone who will pay a dime.. the models probably unknowingly signed a release form allowing the content to be sold and/or distributed anywhere anyhow the content owners see fit.

So if I get this right - customer pays 30$ per month and they have to pay for every show on top of that? That's some serious money!
And how does that work on TV? Charges to the bill every time or they have to log in with an account through the settopbox?
Or its simply group shows 24/7 one after another and everything is included in the PPV price / subscription?
I get the model from the models perspective, but not from the customers tbh.

Don't know all the details but customers are able to pay for and access these shows from hotels as well as private homes. Streamate is obviously committed to this going forward as well as they have been going above & beyond with support. Truly incredible what they are doing in terms of supporting certain models.
