Well Bruce was branded by the Die Hard films he didnt need Police Academy

Die Hard was originally meant to be a Frank Sinatra film, but he turned it down.

Sinatra was also down to play Dirty Harry, set in New York, but couldn't do it due to an injury (John Wayne also turned it down) and, like Die Hard, the rest is history.
