SEO/Site Network Structure Setup Question

guys, im redoing our network of sites and was thinking about how to best do it and thought id see if there are any experts here that can give some advice
  • we have 4 main sites under different domains, 3 of which are getting traffic and actively bringing in leads.
  • then we have about 10 domains that are just copies of the front page of one of the main sites, the domain is the seo keyphrase we are targetting and the rest of the page is SEO'ed for such. and getting maybe 10-20 hits a week total from that
  • then on top of that under one of the domains i had created about 200 landing pages, each for its own keyword...getting a few clicks every week altogether
  • everything is highly targeted...and there is not a ton of traffic in the niche, but it converts very well..not a ton of traffic, but the conversion rate is 1:20-1:100
  • i have each domain going to its own google analytics tracker, which is a pain in the butt to track

so my goal is to find a way to consolidate the sites so i can track them better as far as stats go, and i was thinking about just having the same google analytics code on all the domains, so i can look at one place for everything and break it down from there if i have to

and also, with some of the changes google has been making devaluing landing page-type sites, i thought i would 301 redirect all of the 200 landing pages and the 10 sites (with their own domains) into the 4 main sites

thoughts? any information im leaving out?

use www.hardlinks.org to backlink these sites you mentioned...

"then we have about 10 domains that are just copies of the front page of one of the main sites, the domain is the seo keyphrase we are targetting and the rest of the page is SEO'ed for such. and getting maybe 10-20 hits a week total from that"

use several different keywords per domain

Have a great weekend,

For your google analytics, make a master account and put it on all your sites in addition to what you have now. You will have to setup a filter to show the hostname domain in the master account so it shows up under content drilldown. So you'll have a way to see the entire network at once and accounts separately.

That's really not good at all, unless the global monthly searches are 100 for that keyword then you need to do something different. Just my :2 cents:

got it...some more info is that there are about 250 keyphrases that we are targetting, we are in the top 3 in google for about 120 of them and for about 85% of them are on the front page.

so aside from the top 5 that we get most of our google clicks from, i was trying every which way to grab the clicks for the other keyphrases
