Announcement and Retraction concerning the GFY Friendship Club/Friendly Webmaster Alliance
 

It is my duty to inform members of the GFY Friendship Club/Friendly Webmaster Alliance that the announcement made earlier this month was made in error.

Going forward, the organization shall remain under the GFY Friendship Club brand, while the Friendly Webmaster Alliance will still be in use as a secondary descriptor.

Please accept my most sincere apologies on this matter and forgive me for any inconvenience this errenous statement may have caused.

This is quite annoying as I had just got the iron-on badges made up with the new descriptor. Now that descriptor is merely a secondary descriptor, I am not sure it will pack the punch I had intended.

I suppose I could alter them all by hand with a sharpie, but that will look a bit meh.

PLEASE next time you decide on a change, let everyone know as far in advance as possible so as to minimise any disruption.

Word on the streets is that Lawrence Connor has snuck into the GFY Friendship Club as a member. Therefore, I regretfully have to withdraw my membership until a full audit has been performed.

Sorry Damian, reading this made me get all red and sweaty with embarrassment. I am considering the option of stepping down from my position as chairman of the organization to be replaced by a more capable person.

Concerning the iron-on badges, why not have a set made with the primary descriptor and use them alongside the secondary descriptor badges? It could look even more powerful.

There is only one group, however we recently had a problem deciding on the name.

We feel that having one central point i.e. a website would make us very vulnerable to attacks from mean webmaster groups (such as the GFY Asshole Club founded by papill0n. They may be smaller in numbers compared to us but are known to be real meanies.
