Easiest way to move 40+ wp installs from one server to another?
As the title says...
What's the easiest/fastest/most painless way to move 40+ wp installs with everything from one server to another? |
tar and mysqldump
|
ask the host to transfer
|
Do they use the same database? I moved 15 blogs yesterday.
Dump the database, import it. tar.gz all blogs and unpack them at the server. Use the same mysql database name, user and pass ... |
So what happens if all your blogs have their own MySQL database? I make a new database for every blog, should I not be doing this?

There's no need to have them on their own database unless you have 124345235435 hits per day. |
