UK Webmasters Get-Together: 20th Feb
 

Firstly, a big congrats to Lensman, Eric and the rest of the GFY team on passing 1,000,000 posts last night :-) Please let us know how to pass on the prizes to the winners.

Secondly, we're organising an evening get-together for UK Webmasters in London on Thursday 20th Feb.

The event being held in The Oval Room of The Spot bar in Covent Garden, London from 8pm to 1am and promises to be an excellent chance for UK webmasters to chat, drink and network with each other. The guest list already contains some of the biggest people in the adult business in the UK.

So, how often do these sorts of things happen in the UK? I'm not exactly a socialite, so I expect I miss out on a lot of them...

One thing I've always meant to ask you, is there a print market for your photo work? I've always liked the quality of it myself.

It would be interesting if I could make it, but I still doubt it. After all, it looks like I'd need a room in London, and a couple of days off from responsibilities.

At this point, I don't sell prints of my works. I have long hoped to set up a gallery showing or something, but don't see it as terribly likely since I don't have time to work on that sort of thing. In some ways, since my stuff is so soft, it might be better suited for real-life than the web, but this way I've managed to make a living, so I haven't tried much else.

Ian, in that case you should probably also try and make sure you head to Erotica in Manchester at the end of March to see what other people are up to - there tends to be a lot of niche stuff there... you'd probably also find a few mags who'd buy the images as well :-)

I'm pleased to report that a free bar didn't lead to loads of pissed-up looking, bleary eyed webmasters - as the pictures prove ;-)

If you didn't make it to this one, we'll be running another in May, especially as many of the webmasters did a lot of business in amongst the beer quaffing..... :-)

Looks like fun. Too bad I had to miss it.

Got hit with flu the day before :( Still May is close and I WILL make that one. :)
