Who has drank one beer and drove? I just can't believe that out of all the people here I'm the only one to.

i can say for 100% fact ive never had a single drink and then drove

Not me, I don't drink at all. This is not to say I never have had a drink, I just don't do it and I have certainly never gotten behind the wheel of a car afterwards. My husband either, he doesn't drink either.

I always have a beer when I go out to eat.

I may have 2 beer max over a couple hours and then drive.That's rare for me though,always cab it after drinking

I've had a few drinks and driven.

I've been known to drink and drive when playing golf. I usually have someone hold my beer so I can tee off

I prefer Scotch when I'm driving.

Do it all the time. Hell, around here when people are giving driving directions, they use number of beers you'll drink as the measure of time. I'll have up to four drinks before I won't drive. Honestly, as long as you're not drunk I don't see anything wrong with it and don't really see why everyone made such a big deal out of it.

Why would you make this thread? The backlash over you driving WITH A BEER -- especially from people who had lost loved ones to people like you -- was contained in one thread for the time being. Incidentally, for those who aren't caught up, this was the other thread:

There's no spin you can put on this to make it better. Try this: "I was in the wrong and I won't do it again, I'm deeply sorry for the people I offended by making a joke out of drunk driving, and bragging about not being caught."

I did say it was dumb to have the open beer, you would have seen that if you had read the thread. Just wanted to make the point that drinking ONE beer and driving happens. I wasn't drunk or I would have gotten a DWI.
