WTF w google!?

This weekend bastards thrown me away from search results. Had stable 6th position for the last 3 month.
Nothing in webmaster tools (no warnings, etc.) pagerank of all pages hasn't changed.
Now is all stupid youtube clips! Is google going to include only it's subsidiaries in search results?

u-Bob 08-19-2012 01:47 PM

should have used the time to build more sites.

FlowerKid 08-19-2012 01:57 PM

The Google is an asshole most of the time.

Say that if they don't change their SERPs, then you'll take your business to competing search engines. :2 cents:

I'm about to do that - just in Adult niche! Either way, they are doomed;-)
Would erosbase.com be good domain name for that?

It's a gaming site with unique content (I wrote all the games myself) - how would I build multiple sites based on that?
I can create 100+ clones of it with small tweaks overnight - would it make sense? Google hates this kind of thing.

geekyfox 08-19-2012 02:49 PM

So, erosbase.com, The Google Of Porn, is coming next week

Google doesn't care about you, your site or your income. Stop caring about what they say they want or like or hate. Instead of complaining about Google on a message board when your 1 site goes down in the SERPs, focus on building more sites. Make them look like different people own, built and operate them. Don't aim for the top spot in the SERPs. Aim for all 20 top spots. Increase your chances. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

Sounds like a good advice, but then I'd have to host each of them separately, right?

Zeiss 08-19-2012 03:09 PM

Good advice, Bob.
@geekyfox - Even Matt Cutts says it is OK to host your sites on the same server or with the same IP, as long as there is not much repetitive content. Google now only cares about content, so everything else you do is pretty much not worth the effort, time or money.

geekyfox 08-19-2012 04:25 PM

Ok, thank you, gentlemen!

kazbalah 08-19-2012 05:07 PM

Im fucking sick of google, they update the results and 1000's of companies go bust.

I saw somewhere the future of google results - Everything was paid ads, with 1 organic result at the bottom...

I have also noticed the you tube links you describe, search for "hot girls dancing" and thats all you get, youtube results - The results are getting fucking crap if you ask me.

rogueteens 08-19-2012 05:12 PM

i still think my idea is a go-er, every porn site on the planet posts a message saying "search for porn on Bing!", it worked for firefox against I.E.

Three months and you're complaining? It'll pop back up in the rankings in a year or two. It'll still all be Youtube clips, you'll be listed there... Somewhere...

A little fix for you.

Ill be up for that, start organising it mate :)

helterskelter808 08-19-2012 07:21 PM

It may come as a surprise to some people, but Google doesn't owe you a living or even know you exist.

Ask yourself if you searched for "hot girls dancing" would you rather find Youtube clips of hot girls dancing, or whatever useless splog shit you have knocked up in five minutes without a single hot girl dancing anywhere.

I posted not long ago that one of my best sponsors for tubecamgirl.com had a youtube video like this. If youtube will bein top of all porn searches, the future of porn ads is clothed videos in youtube with some hint or link to a porn site - altough this is breaching the youtube tos and accounts will be shut down time to time :)

helterskelter808 08-19-2012 08:31 PM

How is "hot girl dancing" a porn search?

I've start getting sales from the sites that are on page2 in results. Tells something about quality of sites on 1st page (for particular site all 1st page results are all mainstream)

not exactly. The big tubes, torrents, filelockers are getting more and more of the search share, and that's without getting into the quality/relevance of top 10 serps these days on google

quite, all the sites being dropped are being replaced a few domains, the full-length tubes, torrents and filelockers are getting huge traffic from google thanks to google's great ideas at the expence of sites that really should be up there in the rankings.

People who search free porn want to find tubes, not our pages with links to pay pages to see anything. So google it is giving in first page what the user really searched for.

Not quite, but yeah, google gives the surfer what the surfer wants, and the surfer has made it known they want free porn on tap. Voila, google delivers tubes/torrents/filelockers at the top of the serps.

type in 'buy fill-in-the-blank porn' to see how relevant google is for porn queries though (a different kind of bitching granted, but while I'm here and all that)

even buy porn :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

you know how it goes: The google giveth and the google taketh away

geekyfox 08-21-2012 02:55 AM

my site is online casino-style striptease games, playing Texas Holdem with youtube clip might be tricky

Pandoras 08-21-2012 06:23 AM

i agree with you guys ....it's true

geekyfox 08-22-2012 03:07 AM

FYI, they put me back, but on position ~16 now.
The only thing I've changed was a fixed server error on one of the pages which should have been removed anyway, but googlebot noticed (eventually found in webmaster tools).
