Well duh!

If Romney becomes president he will relax rules on banking and businesses that keep them from destroying the environment and keep them from using unscrupulous business practices to bait the naive into giving them far too much money. He will push for lower tax rates for the rich and when people point out that this will cause the lower classes to pay $X amount he will say it is an incentive to quit being so poor.

The economy will appear nice for a while. Then as the rich lock up more wealth it will begin to slide. Remember, these are the same rich that are supposed to be trickling down money to the poor!

A Democrat will win the next one... And the Republicans will again blame the economy on that girl too. <-- see what I did there?

L-Pink 08-10-2012 08:24 PM

It's pitiful that Romney is the best candidate the Republican party could find. Just fucking pitiful.

Rommey is a very rich guy who does not under that being real wealthy is not something the average admires right now. The fact that he was an investment banker also does not help

keysync 08-10-2012 09:14 PM

I have to believe that Romney is a sacrificial candidate.
If the economy finally falls off the cliff in the next few years. Nobody with any damn brains would want to be the President during that mess.

It's a theory... who knows.

If Romney was president, him and ten of his richest friends would all mouth-rape the system to make themselves all richer.

I don't think most people hate those who are rich. They hate those who appear to have pulled off some kind of shenanigans in order to get rich. We have had many very wealthy presidents.

One of Romney's problems is that he won't release his tax returns and it makes him look as though he has something to hide. I would guess he likely does otherwise he would have released the records already. Until he releases his tax returns many people will assume he either pulled off some shady shit to get wealthy or that he paid a tiny amount of taxes.

I read that Reid has said his source on Romney not paying any taxes in 10 years is a Republican who is a former Bain investor.

I'm not sure who Reid's source is. I don't think he would just say that outright without at least some kind of information, but unless Romney releases his tax returns we will never know for sure so the allegation hangs out there and continues to hurt him.

Paul Markham 08-11-2012 02:19 AM

Watching it from here

I hear, he refuses to show his tax returns even when accused of not paying them. When you consider the stalking that was done by the Anti Obama brigade to get him to show his Birth Certificate. He has to prove he pays his taxes and doesn't use every possible loop hole to not. Including banking outside the US.

He will cut taxes fr the rich so the "trickle down" effect saves the economy. Anyone who thinks the rich let their money trickle down is a fool. Can the insane vote in the US? :winkwink:

It will stimulate the economy. Well why didn't it do that under Bush? It doesn't in fact in todays world it does the opposite.

He will cut all non essential Government spending. Does that mean giving overseas grants to countries he wants to keep the leaders in America's pockets. Who often bank the money they take from the grants in the US.

Will it mean cutting jobs, Government spending in your area? That won't stimulate the economy.

Or is it in the hope a few people work harder, make more money, won't export jobs overseas, won't buy imported goods and hire a few more people on minimum wage? If a businessman can see more profit, he will go for it. If he needs to hire someone to get the extra profit, he will do. Chances are he won't and make do with who he has. Leaving even more for the boss.

And he's a Mormon. If I have to say anything further. Go vote for him.

Good!

YES WE CAN!!!

crockett 08-11-2012 03:14 AM

Does anyone with a bit of common sense, actually think Romney will win, aside from the foaming at the mouth Right winger types?

Barry-xlovecam 08-11-2012 04:05 AM

Not surprising at all ...

I agree, and I think McCain was also a sacrificial candidate. After eight years of a Republican White House and the worse economy since the 1930s, there was no way a Republican was going to be elected no matter who he (she) was.

BIGTYMER 08-11-2012 07:35 AM

Like it even matters. Obama is getting 4 more years.

Radical Bucks 08-11-2012 03:29 PM

Really.....? There are no polls. No elections. When will everyone understand it has already been decided who will be the next president.

Obama has already been chosen by the elites who run the world.

Here is my actual two cents: When the big nasty shit hits the fan, it will be so easy to blame the black man Obama for everything in the end.
