If they go through with this, I strongly urge all non-pirates to DMCA the FUCK out of every tube out there.

Bombs away.

I totally agree, now its pretty useless

HomerSimpson 08-10-2012 04:13 PM

will this take tubes down on results... I doubt it...

dgraves 08-10-2012 04:26 PM

I always cc Google on a DMCA. I was never sure if it had an affect but figured it couldn't hurt.

I thought the exact same thing this morning - I've started sweeping my first target to help RYC identify the content to just pummel them daily with DMCA's. Working on a list for Takedown too since I know the content for 6 studios like the back of my hand.

Biggy2 08-10-2012 05:11 PM

From the article:

"Most of these notices in the last 30 days concerned content owned by RIAA members, followed by Microsoft, a group called Froytal Services Ltd. and NBC Universal."

Froytal = Manwin as far as I know. At least our checks from Juggcash come under that company name. So if I am reading this properly, they are DMCAing a lot of fucking content.

Are you filling out this form for every DMCA you send out?
https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...-notice?pli=1&

Every tube, torrent, filelocker, porn board etc gets their own DMCA sent, but also sent to Google via this form.

Thankfully Google will never punish sites that have adverts above the fold! Imagine if THAT ever happened? GFY would dead! The internet is about family friendly sites like Youtube. Thank "Goodness" Google keeps the internet clean for families, and dominates everything you pussies look at.

Wait! Here's the REAL youtube:

Well with having a wide rang of brands in their portfolio they also should suffer a lot from piracy so it's not that strange

ShoeBox 08-11-2012 04:27 PM

is this the first second third fourth or fifth thread about this?

SZNY 08-11-2012 04:31 PM

Don't know who was first. Saw the article yesterday after it was posted on Techcrunch and shared it here

IllTestYourGirls 08-11-2012 06:16 PM

So Google is going to kill YouTube?

Yup, just crazy that they are technically #3. If you click through on the article, it actually is linked to a transparency report in Google that shows your the # of requests. It looks like the # is so high due to Degban Ltd submitting DMCAs on their behalf. Degban also is doing this for some other really big sites - RK, BangBros, DDF, etc.

thmvp20 08-11-2012 09:06 PM

taking down tubes? i was thinking this would effect torrent sites the most, no?

would be nice because if you google any scene name the first ~2 pages are reserved by torrent sites

yeah that are some high volume DMCA stats :D

Degban is #1 in submitting DMCAs
1,010,225 in the past month

Cool thing about this transparency report is that you can see which domains are reported

Let's see what their new rules bring. From what I can see in the report is that there are more DMCA reports for torrents as for tubes

:2 cents:

Doubt it very much. It's now a culture online to get it free rather than pay for it. So surfers on Google will find they have to pay, go back to Google and browse down till they find a free source.

Won't harm though.

CyberHustler 08-12-2012 02:34 AM

Paul's absolutely right :eek7

Someone's already come up with a customised google search that ONLY includes the top 50 "offenders" from google's DMCA reports. In other words, it will only show pirate sites as results. Not that the average joe would probably be aware of this tool, of course...
