I launch my stunt kites without anyone else holdin' em.

Prop it up on the ground, inside facing the direction of wind, and carefully roll out the line with just enough tension to keep it "standing".

When ready to launch, give it a quick tug and there ya go...



When you get familiar with the mechanics you'll be able to simply lay it on the ground and pull it into a standing position and then launch.

They're actually aren't too pricey. My cousin bought one a few years ago. It's a lot of fun. I managed to get up on it last summer.
