30 blogs, 1 shared host = too much???
 

I currently have 30 blogs on the same ip and same shared host. They each get very little traffic and so far are capable of it knock on wood but is it Ok to do? Would it be better to have them on their own ips? Does it even matter since I'm not linking them at all? Or should I be linking? Scratching head...Eating banana

Would I do it? No. Can you do it? Sure.

I would be doing A-B-C linking strategies and putting each on their different IP's if your plan was to grow them.

However, I prefer putting all of my sites on their own IP when I can. If these are not being grown, are not making money, or are of little value. What you are doing now is fine. I would not put much more effort into them, unless you are realistically trying to scale them up in some way.

If you are selling LINK FARM or PR FARM services, then yes, you need separate server class c IPs.

However, if you are not interlinking them and you are developing them separately to have their own streams of traffic, having many blogs on one server is fine. It also helps if they have different content categories/niches.

I do it, usually have 25-30 on one account and it works great.

Keep them in separate niches, don't interlink them, and trade each one with different trade partners.

The separate IP thing is old fashioned thinking. :2 cents:

I usually have 5-6 blogs pr IP. No same niche on same IP and same IP don't interlink.
I guess it's not necessary, but I like to do it so. Some of my blogs do quite well and I like having them separated.

However, it is by reading GFY I've gotten google-paranoid. :-p

I see no problem in what you're doing. I blow like 20$ each month on ip's, not sure it's worth it.

I started this late last year, so I'm not at 5-10k. Yet. But I'm on the plus-side and it is increasing steadily.
Patience and don't give up is the key, I guess. And traffic.

I have them on different IP's so I can link a little bit between them.
But as I said, GFY has made me paranoid:1orglaugh, so I am careful with interlinking.
