Thoughts on Google having an unofficial agenda against porn?
|
Well I'm not so sure. If you make it explicit, like putting in
pussy porn then you get lots of porn sites with pussy in the titles and such. I used that example because that's what I would do to "make" google give me porn related to pussy. |
robert fe**** top right of ss

Yeah my name is Robert Ferrara. I don't hide it. But thanks for looking out.

Going through this on Google+ right now, they don't allow anything mature themed unless it is from a mainstream site/company/person.
|
Looks very much on purpose for sure
|
Its reasonable for them to "hide" porn from ambiguous searches unless they can be absolutely sure you are actually looking for porn.
Think of PR if you got teen porn as a result for "I want to buy a new cute pussycat for my sad teenage daughter ". Better for them to err on the safe side. |
Many general sex terms that used to produce only porn sites in the serps, now only return mainstream sites. Don't know if this is a deliberate attack on porn, but it has dramatically reduced the amount of traffic being sent to porn sites, no doubt about it.
Even the search term "mommy porn" returns only mainstream results (virtually all repetitive articles about 50 Shades of Grey), instead of results pointing to actual porn of any kind. Also, Google seems to be over its "host crowding" concerns, as it frequently lists multiple pages from the same site five or six times on the same serp. |
Yeah, I really don't think about conspiracies and shit like that b/c I find that doing so tends to be a waste of time and I would rather waste my time on other stuff. Speaking of which, here's a great series of videos on Vice.

It's always been like that with very generic keywords. Even before Google with other search engines it was the same.
It's not the type of traffic you want anyway. People looking for very generic keywords such as sex and pussy are usually from third world countries with no money to spend anyway. From google trends: Sex: 1. Pakistan 2. Vietnam 3. India 4. Egypt 5. Morocco 6. Indonesia 7. Malaysia 8. Poland 9. Turkey 10. Philippines Pussy: Regions 1. South Africa 2. Pakistan 3. India |
