I've only started cooking a few months ago. Creamed spinach + Scallops ( a little too much lemon):error

Creamed spinach = good spinach ruined :)

Substitute Scallops for a nice bit of fish and you have a winner :thumbsup

Should not have taken that long to cook. If I were you I would toss that out and start over and have the goal of only 1 hour max prep time.

Other wise that will go bad on you.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the creamed spinach and in general I do like scallops just not the ones i made.

not if you buy the "deluxe" versions.. hehe, besides you still need to buy milk and butter to make it. Probably the cheapest meal are the packages of ramen noodles, but the sodium in that shit will likely kill you before you become really destitute.

I LOVE Creamed spinach, as much as I used to hate it back when. My mother did'nt know how to make it , bless her soul:winkwink:

I think of the $.39 kraft dinners and $1.50 6 packs of weak top ramen as pre-foodstamp foods.

Because before you admit you need benefits, you try to save and buy cheap stuff like that and stretch it. But then you apply for foodstamps and suddenly your food budget doubles and you can now afford real foods instead of being hungry right after you eat.

That's when you move up to spicy shin ramyun and whole organic chickens and such to get the most bang for your buck.

Kraft Dinner/Mac and Cheese is a treat. When I was poor I just ate rice :(
