Wordpress Featured Image and RSS Feeds
Is there a way to make a wordpress install pull a image from a rss feed and use it as the featured image for the post? or even just set it as a featured image from the pic url?
Any suggestions? :thumbsup |
are you currently using a feed plugin? and which one so i can better assess the situation

I use Auto Post Thumbnail on all of my RSS auto blogs and haven't had any issues.

My CyberSEO plugin isn't pulling the thumb url from the feed.
The Custom field "thumb" is still blank. The feed is http://maturesseeking.com/mature.xml Any help? |
I'm using an adult site skins theme with the CyberSEO plugin.
here are some threads specific to that theme to get the job done: https://gfy.com/showpost.php?p=18898214&postcount=27 http://www.cyberseo.net/forum/suppor...-please/#p1708 |

It's a technique from older versions of WP: before the_post_thumbnail(); one workaround was to bring your site's own RSS feed into its loop, stripping out only the thumbnail for display from the feed. It was awkward, but it worked. |
you can try this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/a...featured-image
