should we get rid of cash?

most of the time i use a debit card.

i see no point to cash.

surly it would save the goverment a lot of money if it does not need to make it.

also surly it would end a lot of crime.

can you imagine drug dealers could work if they could not take cash.

and no one will mug you if you have no cash.

just a thought.

pornmasta 07-21-2012 03:56 PM

I like money

u-Bob 07-21-2012 03:58 PM

That lets the government and institutions have control of your money and could seize it, or other. If you can still have physical money or assets, you control them instead of someone else.

ShoeBox 07-21-2012 04:03 PM

a lot of drug dealers already do the intuit go payment

Like Brujah says, taking away physical money means that it's a lot easier for TPTB to switch off our chip (meaning we cannot function in society) or to steal our money. Ideally we need our money physical, and even better not in a fiat currency. :2 cents:

Jel 07-21-2012 04:10 PM

If you don't have 3 deposit boxes each with a handgun, gold, and cash, you're a fool, fact!

Thank you for not calling me a sheep, just because I'm a skeptic and don't automatically believe Alex Jones or DrudgeReport or other.

u-Bob 07-21-2012 04:13 PM

Remember when FDR seized people's savings/gold? Remember what happened in Argentina not so long ago? If you think abolishing cash is a good idea, you need to take a serious look at the history of currency devaluations on confiscations.

I was reading some Isabel Paterson a few days ago. This seems appropriate:
"Never shall we forget the line of women we saw turning in their savings, under threat of 10 years in jail and $10,000 fine, while the multimillionaire Sen. Couzens stood up bravely on the floor of the Senate and promised to 'hunt them down' if they tried to hold out a few dollars."

Freaky_Akula 07-21-2012 04:13 PM

Stupid idea.

If you want everything on a card, that's fine. Your choice. But don't go making choices for others.

DVTimes 07-21-2012 04:17 PM

i still see no problem with the idea.

how many of you have more than $10 or £10 on you right now?

i bet a lot of you (like me) have no cash on you.

that said i have no cash in the bank.

Cash allows us to avoid oppression taxation, which exists virtually everywhere in the Western world these days. Fuck that, keep cash.

Also, what will you tip strippers with?

L-Pink 07-21-2012 04:52 PM

I'm turning all my cash and guns in to the government on Monday.

Anything that makes fractional reserve banking easier is bad.
I have within arms length, $10k in cash, gold and silver,
and a variety of corporate/personal debit/credit cards.
The cash is in multiple currencies. The cards work globally.

papill0n 07-21-2012 05:03 PM

yeah.....

ShoeBox 07-21-2012 05:03 PM

fuck atm cards , debit cards fees etc.. why not just use cash doesn't cost money to take out of the bank?

ShoeBox 07-21-2012 05:04 PM

plus if you keep your money in bank accounts you get interest , you don't get interest with debit, atm, bank cards , cc

StickyGreen 07-21-2012 05:05 PM

Well seeing as the plan is to eventually microchip the population and have a cashless society I would say we should try to hang on to cash for as long as possible.

BaldBishop 07-21-2012 05:11 PM

No thank you. I'll stick to cash.

AllAboutCams 07-21-2012 05:18 PM

Wtf? Even if you have a "legal" job it's still your right to privacy so that every place you go and every transaction you make isn't tracked and logged.

I swear some of you fools just can't wait to be total slaves being monitored every second of your lives.

Vapid - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-21-2012 05:24 PM

The idea of working to anyone's benefit but your own is fucking slavery.

gfydrama 07-21-2012 05:31 PM

Dumbest thread ever!

Cash is the only way to have full control of your money.
Even cash is kind of stupid since the government can devalue it.
But cash is what we can reasonably have/use instead of gold so at least keep cash.

My god, humans are becoming dumber by the minute.

What do you expect when there are sophisticated propaganda machines literally brainwashing these idiots by the minute?

Of course they're going to be saying things like "let's give up our cash and guns! yay!" They are welcoming their own slavery.

MrCain 07-21-2012 05:43 PM

Using cash protects your privacy in a world where our privacy is under attack every minute of the day. It is also good for keeping your spending or your children's spending in check.

sandman! 07-21-2012 06:30 PM

i like my cash fuck plastic :2 cents::2 cents:

freecartoonporn 07-21-2012 08:18 PM

But...

i cant afford a card... :(

nico-t 07-22-2012 03:47 AM

another retarded thread by dvtimes.

Here the government pushes ad campaigns to pay with your card instead of cash. It's the old 'it's safer, also for stores' excuse.

While in reality when you pay for everything electronically, big brother has once again a resource to pinpoint exactly what you do, where you've been, etc -> control.

Paranoid, maybe, but truth, definitely.

I have a better idea, do away with cards!

Spunky 07-22-2012 12:25 PM

Then the line ups would be even longer..fuck that it's annoying enough as it is

DWB 07-22-2012 12:48 PM

You live in a world based on a make believe currency system and you're asking if they should do away with cash.

How about... should they make real money again?

Then you can worry about how to carry it.

DamageX 07-22-2012 12:56 PM

No cash = bankers' wet dream.

Mike Honcho 07-22-2012 01:05 PM

No. Cash is and always will be king.

Eyeball 07-22-2012 01:24 PM

I keep all my money in my epassporte account where i know it is safe.

You see no point in cash because you never use it. You walk into a store and use your debit card.

However, there are places that cannot use debit cards so easily. Oh, it's simple enough to set up, but you can't have everyone running around with a little debit machine.

My wife's volunteer organization is the perfect example. Every year they take in nearly $200k from various sources. They have some four hundred volunteers, and they can't have them running around with a dozen debit machines - the potential for fraud could be huge, and the potential for mistakes can be massive. Thus they have one debit machine, and one of six board members must be present when it's being used. They also take in money from raffle sales, cookie sales, event ticket sales, and then snack bar sales - all cash.

Cashless would not work on a global scale.

Believe it or not, some countries don't have ATM machines, have limited ATMs, or don't accept credit/debit cards.

adultchatpay 07-22-2012 07:20 PM

with cashless basis, our sales production will increase by a mile. Can you imagine everyone's holding a credit card?
