People still use Digg? I thought it went the way of MySpace when Reddit came out?
|
Looks like reddit have only slightly more traffic then digg.
|
Should have sold it back in 2007 to someone for $250,000,000
|
things peak then fizzle, they missed the boat massively.
|
Wow, thats crazy.
|
wow, it sure still have some traffic
|
Unbelievable how quickly things change.
Here's hoping the same happens to Google and Facebook, but I'm not holding my breath. |

They systematically destroyed the company because they couldn't retain talent and didn't move with what their users wanted. |
Wow, that is unbelievable!

Most of the traffic at Digg nowadays is indian blog spammers. They really fucked up a good thing by alienating their userbase.
Here is a fairly detailed but sarcastic look at what actually happened in comic book form: https://secure.flickr.com/photos/250...n/photostream/ https://secure.flickr.com/photos/250...38180/sizes/o/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/2503608...n/photostream/ |
They need to allow NSFW stuff like tumblr and reddit if they want to grow.
By NSFW I don't only mean porn. |

only 500,000 ??? incredible... same sites with same traffic were sold for dozens of millions.. cant understand this.
|
VERY very sad. I remember when Digg was dug by everyone. Sad.
Adios Digg. |
Talk about pissing off your core community and getting left sucking dust. If Twitter doesn't stop pissing off its API developer community, there's a strong chance it might end up like another Digg http://www.ereviewguide.com/news/201...pace-and-digg/
Digg used to be a lot of fun. It was also the fastest way to get indexed. Too bad they nofollowed those submitted links and it all went downhill from there very quickly. |

He only got $500,000 :1orglaugh |
7.000.000 visitors per month thats not bad. How much do they earn from one visitor? Even if its lousy 1 cent that would still make 70.000$/month. Plus all the brand. I think they got a great deal here.
|
If digg is $500,000 valued, someone should check facebook's price for reality :)
