If Israel attacks Syria, this would most likely drag Iran in, which would then drag the US/UK/NATO in. The war on Syria is the start of the war with Iran, as they are allies in the same region

Russia sent another warship over. There is no way the US or Israel are going to attack Syria with Russia and China backing them.

Plus people realize that Assad isn't behind the humanitarian problems, after what happened in Libya they now know that we send people in to create a humanitarian problem, which is blamed on the regime and used as an excuse for intervention. If people fall for the 'humanitarian' scam then it avoids having to go to war with Russia and China. Some kind of event is needed in order to start a war on Syria. Just five years ago Israel did a pre-emptive strike against Syria's Nuclear Reactor and no one responded against Israel...which I suspect would be the same response if Israel once again makes some kind of preemptive strike against Syria.

Syria would have to accept any similar strategic strikes this time round too, but if it's more than that they'd fight for their lives. Israel do say that perhaps it will deteriorate into war.

I'm not sure sure about this. It seems that all of the major powers - China included - remember the destruction from WWII and do everything to avoid it. We've tip toed around it now nearly sixty years, fought proxy wars, and national governments would rather face complete embarrassment than get involved in an all out war with another super power.

I wish they'd hurry up and get on with it.

Americans have this romantic notion of freedom fighters and were 100% behind Obama in helping the poor helpless "rebels" against the mean dictators. When in fact the Americans were duped by al qaeda and its likes.
