Ok, this is just by my own observations, but, definitely something to ponder.

I have met quite a few millionares, and a couple billionares. I have also read many articles about other wealthy individuals. I found 1 thing in common between all of them, and it really makes sense.

Each of the case studies have setup networks. Plain and simple.
Gates, William H III
Buffett, Warren E
Allen, Paul G
Ellison, Lawrence J
The Waltons (Walmart)
McCaw, Craig
and a few others....

Each of them have setup large networks in one form or another.

a few of them may be on their last billion and sinking

The formula is easy. You find a product or service that costs you x to produce and you sell it for 10 times x which gives you Y and then you get 100,000 people working for you to sell your y's every day and you'll be a Billionare. too one day.

Oh yeah... The other common factor was that they all charged for their networks. :) Sorry man, free networks don't work.

a few of their networks are bancrupt or close to - paul allen and charter and a few others of his dotcom investments in telcos and wireless ventures; mccaw as well
