Is anyone worried about Malware Monday?

Is anyone worried about Malware Monday? I just heard about it earlier and didn't know how much of it is true and what is BS. It sounds like the FB I wants to "scan" your computer and see if your infected. But what I have seen is a lot of people think they are really scanning to see what illegal files they can find and what your browsing. Who knows but I figured I'd throw it out and see what the masses think about this LOL

Relax, AOLer. There's no Malware Monday and Facebook isn't going to start charging unless you forward an email to all of your friends.

But, if your computer isn't running then your antivirus wont be able to protect it, will it?

NEVER SHUT OFF YOUR COMPUTER, YOUR ANTIVIRUS CANNOT RUN WHEN THE COMPUTER IS OFF!

I don't really want the FBI scanning my computer for "malware". Something just doesn't seem legit with that.

Pretty sure. I read the article about how they setup a website for it, but then decided that I'll think for myself instead of forming my opinion about it based on "News".

DamianJ 07-09-2012 05:51 AM

Hahah. I've got a foreskin so that means I cannot get malware.

Voodoo 07-09-2012 06:37 AM

Here's another good link for this one I'm monkeying with...

I thought it was weird how the fbi set up their server to replace the hackers server and let people keep running through it for months before saying anything. Or maybe I misunderstood the original article I read on it.

That article also said that google has been scanning for it and warning browsers for quite some time, so chances are we would have been alerted long ago.

Wizzo 07-09-2012 07:31 AM

It will effect .001% of the internet, though lots of great media hype about it...

BIGTYMER 07-09-2012 07:55 AM

Yet sales are on fire!

Actually, I was being a smart ass. Turns out, the FBI does in fact have a page that has links to check if ones machine has been infected with this DNS crap.

Sorry. :(

fitzmulti 07-09-2012 08:42 AM

I'm definitely NOT worried about malware monday. All that stuff is bullsh*t, and nothing is going to hap.........

What's kind of funny now if you click on detect it says site is no longer active and tells you to try this other page but takes you back to where you were LOL

I was having the same thoughts as voodoo, sure was nice of the fb i to"setup" some safe servers for us.
