Is DepositFiles about to lose PayPal?

What do you think?

The man is hitting it this time

Will it be defeated or is it the Battle of Stalingrad, which might bring filelockers an idea how can they overcome the pressure?

EddyTheDog 07-05-2012 12:54 PM

It seems they are hitting back - Cant get to the site....

Emil 07-05-2012 12:57 PM

Cant www.cloudflare.com be a good, free and supereasy solution to deal with these attacks?

CaptainWolfy 07-05-2012 01:00 PM

yes the site is unavailable :?

Nautilus 07-05-2012 01:18 PM

Site loads fine for me. Most likely it wasn't DDOS but TorrentFreak surfers who followed the link and made SFL unavailable for a brief period of time. TF is huge.

EddyTheDog 07-05-2012 01:39 PM

I have it back now..

Just a small point - I would put the CP stuff at the top of the list - It would put the general public off.

The way it is at the moment it looks like an ad for DepositFiles - I am looking at it from the point of view of my aunt who is clueless - "Oh look this site has free movies!!".

Until someone takes it straight to Visa/MC, at best, its just going to create successful billing companies that will accept those transactions.

Probably, seems all the illegal pirate forums use it for that :1orglaugh

19teenporn 07-05-2012 08:07 PM

I think theywill lose paypal.

And soon all filelockers will also be banned from visa and MC

VenusBlogger 07-05-2012 08:17 PM

ROFL.. just deposit files?

There are like 100 HUGE file sharing sites.. and then you have another 500 medium-small sized...

PayPAL is doing huge bucks with all those sites.

Same as ILLEGAL TUBES or CAM SPONSORS like AWEMPIRE suporting illegal FORUMS and shitty image hosting pirates FOR YEARS.

And do you see them closed?

Money talks, champ.

PIRIOD.

mce 07-05-2012 08:46 PM

That would be quite big news indeed

19teenporn 07-05-2012 09:03 PM

Those damned stupid son of a bitches will lose pp, will have to close doors.

shake 07-05-2012 09:09 PM

Paypal will shut them down if everyone keeps the pressure on :2 cents:

Nobody wants to see their company logo next to that illegal shit.

AdultKing 07-06-2012 02:50 AM

There are reasons why I haven't commented in this thread. Although I do appreciate the irony that this in itself is a comment.

seeandsee 07-06-2012 04:35 AM

WOW - someone who sees things as they really are????

Can someone pull up an alexa chart to show the largest filelockers around.

Let's see what happens with those...... NOTHING will happen is my guess.

You can spend the next 5 years congratulating paypal and yourself for taking down 500 tiny filelockers. The problem is just 1 rapidshare, media fire , hotfile is doing more damage than that 500 altogether. However during that time paypal can look like it is actually doing something about it. I would say these file lockers are paypals single largest business outside of ebay, then again all together perhaps file lockers are actually a larger revenue.

Get an alexa graph and see how many of these large filelockers are in the top 1000. I bet it is saturated with them and paypal works with most of them. Paypal is filelockers.

I wonder what % of revenue paypal will lose for blanket banning them all......hmmmm wonder if they will do that anytime soon.

not true. This is a cunt hair away from getting political. Once the cat is out of the bag it's over. The business model as it stands now is coming to end. Much like tubes they will realize playing cowboy isn't the way to survive. They won't disappear but they won't be swinging from the chandelier & cutting the drapes with a sword like they are now.

I dont think Visa and MC are going to stop it.

Otherwise they would have already.

nikki99 12-26-2012 11:54 AM

I hope so :thumbsup

BIGTYMER 12-26-2012 12:08 PM

PayPal is a huge loss for any file locker.

Don't ever underestimate that.

Jesse202 12-26-2012 12:10 PM

No paypal option. Maybe if you're logged in, but I don't see it as unregistered.

AdultKing 12-27-2012 02:58 AM

DepositFiles.com lost Paypal in the middle of the year. I expect they will lose the ability to process credit cards early in 2013.
