    I should not have looked - WTF.....

    So I went and looked up my cousin on Google - He is a few years younger than me and because of family shit we fell out of touch when we where teenagers.

    His dad (my dads brother) was a Doctor - Major into US politics as well from what I understand. He advised the Bush admin on research funding etc - He is not even American....

    Mine was the drop out....

    So my cousin now has a Ph.D.. He travelled through Africa teaching poor kids science in Rwanda and now has my dream job.

    He has my life - I really should not have looked....

                          The outcome of your life is your fault. having a rich daddy has little correlation to success. I know this firsthand having grown up in a richy rich town. Most of the rich kids are useless trash. same people that star on MTV.

                                  i hear ya. but I had rich & poor friends in high school & believe me, it has very little to do with parents. People choose their peers, choose how to spend their time. Parents can only guide & support but cannot save a failure from themselves.

                                  My sister & I have completely different lives, she is a lot more successful then me. same parents, same school, same everything. She just worked hard at things & i got stoned. End of story.

                                                              True - I am ONLY 41 - I do have a degree so I could go back and do some post grad stuff.

                                                              I could do that and do the overland trip through Africa that I have been talking about forever.

                                                              It was the Africa thing that got me the most - Teaching kids in a war zone like Rwanda, how fucking annoying is that!!?

                                                                      BTW, you do not need a Ph.D. to teach kids in Africa. That's just what he has. Use him to get the connections to make it happen for you. It wouldn't be a bad thing because you are trying to do good. There is no reason you can't achieve that dream of yours.
