Left elsewhere to live in America?

How different do you find life here compared to wherever you've chosen to leave? (Shutup, Johnnyclips).

I have lived in three different parts of the country and each part has been quite different. If someone were to immigrate to the United States and see no differences, there would be something wrong with their head.

I've lived throughout the U.S. in a handful of different states and have experienced quite a difference, but at the end of the day it was always still the U.S. and mostly the same politics, etc... even though the daily experience was a bit different. It's especially interesting and maybe even slightly scary to go from a blue state to a red state, for example. :1orglaugh

I have been in borderline blue, blue, and red.

Blue was the weirdest. Although red is fucking bizarre as well.

I have lived in Providence RI, San Bernardino CA, Eugene OR, Duluth GA and now in San Fran. People may seem crazy upstate (which can be charming at best), but California takes the cake on the more scary loonier sort. Just go to the supermarket to find out.

I love living in America. Shit makes sense here.

What do you consider CA?

I lived in the Midwest, both Ohio and Kentucky, and I lived in California (Los Angeles). Both have pros and cons, and it's difficult to compare the two. However, if I were to move back to the USA I would probably bypass California and reside in Arizona (somewhere near Flagstaff) or another state nearby. I'd have to look into taxes and all of that before I made a decision, but that part of the USA is great.

California is great, but they are financially imploding and have a lot of potential for a complete breakdown, so I'd probably steer clear of there until their mess gets sorted out, if it ever does. Not to mention, I'd rather not be somewhere where the state is telling me I have to use condoms. lol Great state otherwise.

I left the Uk in about 1999 for america.

I lived in Woodlandhills - Loved it!
Thousand Oaks - To Quiet.
Downtown LA - "Exciting..." !
Huntington Beach - Loved it!
San Diego - Not there long enough to have an opinion
El Cajon - Nice Enough...

Then I got deported.

But as for it being better than the UK? Yes Yes Yes Times 1000!

I fucking LOVED America, and would still be there now, if it wasn't for those pesky Homeland Security guys! :)

CA was blue, but, in fairness, it's all over the map. California is one bizarre state. Totally depends where you live.

I had a feeling you were talking about CA; what did you find so "weird?"
