Why didn't he tell the guys who wrote the book and claim it's his word?

Maybe there is some scientist behind it all and we are just microbes spinning around in an orb in a lab? Our century = a micro second to him.

There is no god, but there is Paul Markham

TheSquealer 07-04-2012 11:22 AM

Perfect logic. Evidence that the entire universe and everything in it was produced from matter which is both infinitely dense and infinitely small suggests there is no god.

Got it.

Now if only we could make Paul go away by proving he doesn't really exist

Not supreme is an understatement considering haw many test models they had to make to get the final one nearly right. :thumbsup

God can be an One atomic particle ...

mikesouth 07-04-2012 12:31 PM

In the beginning Man created God;
and in the image of Man
created he him.

2 And Man gave unto God a multitude of
names, that he might be Lord of all
the earth when it was suited to Man

3 And on the seven millionth
day Man rested and did lean
heavily on his God and saw that
it was good.

4 And Man formed Aqualung of
the dust of the ground, and a
host of others likened unto his kind.

5 And these lesser men were cast into the
void; And some were burned, and some were
put apart from their kind.

6 And Man became the God that he had
created and with his miracles did
rule over all the earth.

7 But as all these things
came to pass, the Spirit that did
cause man to create his God
lived on within all men: even
within Aqualung.

8 And man saw it not.

9 But for Christ's sake he'd
better start looking.

Jethro Tull - Aqualung

Little kids grow out of their "tooth fairy" years but all these creationists and their beliefs are a joke, imagine if all that focus and money going into religions would instead go into medicine, scientific research or charity how much better this world would be :2 cents:

Yes but who created Higgs boson?

raymor 07-04-2012 02:51 PM

The idea that there may be a particle which no one knew about before proves that a force most people experience doesn't exist? Sounds perfectly logical, if you're Paul.

Here's an idea Paul - you've never seen a Hoggs boson, nor experienced a higher power. Maybe they exist anyway.

What the latest physics research shows, including the Hoggs research, is that we don't know much. If Stephen Hawking doesn't know what the elementary particles of physics are, maybe Paul Markham also doesn't know everything. Maybe there are things you don't understand.

This new church of Markhamology has the scientologists quivering in their hush puppies.

Paul, where do I join?

Funny thing is that none of us have any clue what is Higgs boson, how it was measured or what does it mean, yet you believe if someone tells it's something important, or even make your own conclusions about it..

People are pretty religious creatures, just the beliefs may differ.

Funny too that nowhere in the article does it mention God; but Paul was able to draw his logical conclusion.

I guess my original analysis that he is an idiot was balls on. I bet Higgs boson could prove it beyond any doubt.

The mystical will never be confirmed, obviated or explained by science. The two are separate layers we view existence through, and one will never be persuasive enough to make believers abandon the other.

baddog 07-04-2012 05:21 PM

It's funny, I am watching news from all over the world and not person has even mentioned God or creation for that matter.

TheSquealer 07-04-2012 05:22 PM

edit: haha. nevermind.

Its called The God Particle, jackass. Figure the rest out for yourself.

And that is how priests, preachers, evangelists, and religious leaders around the world have made untold fortunes and wielded power for millenniums.

As George Michael once sang: "you gotta have FAITH"

p.s.: I don't believe in ANY of that superstitious bullshit by the way. :)

Not "some people". That's its nickname. It's not a secret. It's not just in physics. It's fairly common knowledge.

Confined 07-04-2012 05:56 PM

they call it the god particle simply because it controls and influences everything else. scientists hate that name since most are smart enough to know there is no such thing.

Yeah, I read why they gave it that handle; perhaps I was not clear enough. I have found no one, other than Paul, that is suggesting this proves there is no God. Hell, they are not even sure that the particle is what they were looking for and that it does what they think it might.

Even if it is what causes matter to mass it would not disprove God. :2 cents:
