I loved watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith show. He was such a laid back nice hick surrounded by weirdos, especially Floyd the Barber.
Grandpa Simpson will surely be grieving the death of Matlock. a long successful life - rest in peace Andy. |

I grew up watching Andy Griffith, and even my son (when he was in grade school) used to rush home at lunchtime to watch Matlock repeats at noon.
The man didn't have a bad run, though. R.I.P. |

Griffith died at 7:00 AM on July 3, 2012, at his home on Roanoke Island in Dare County, North Carolina, at age 86. Per his instructions, he was buried on the island within five hours of his death
