Did anyone here ever subscribe to 2600?

Just wondering. If you subscribed, did you ever go to a meeting?
I went to 1 about 7 years ago, and it was very lame. There was some pretty cool conversation, but, other than that... I almost fell asleep... not much excitement. I thought we were going to hack the Pentagon or the local Pizza Hut at least, but, it was just a big sausage party, with a bunch of geeks sitting around talking about their latest hardware, and Ooohing and Ahhhing about the blazing fast 56k v90 Modems, with their 32MB of RAM. Also discussed the plans for building a rail gun. LOL

Voodoo....our Senior System Administrator runs the 2600 group in Atlanta and it is pretty much a bustling group...Atlanta has a pretty decent technology sector and being the home of ISS means that there are alot of Security Junkies here.....

....but if you are looking for some good music, nice chicks and a chance to get laid I could think of a few other places better than 2600 :1orglaugh

I never subscribed, but I'd pick up a copy at barnes and noble everytime I saw a new one there. I still have a stack of them from years and years ago.
