How does the screen hold up in direct sunlight?

Damian: S III is NEW phone. iPhone 4S is phone more than a year old (on a market). HD display is unbelievable, 4-core CPU fast as well. Just from my personal view.

I am thinking about getting this one or the LG Optimus 4X HD. The LG has a better screen, slightly better battery, supposedly takes better pictures, but its video recoding quality isn't as good as the S3's. MD, could you please show us some examples of the picture quality of the S3?

the neighbor chick stopped by with her huge jugs and her new iphone. Proudly showing it (her phone). I dont care about a damn phone. My own phone contract has ended for a couple of months, now it renews each month until i take another contract. She didn't understand that I didnt get a new contract + new phone instantly the moment it ended.
I just dont care, I'm cool like that.

i got it from germany since i still have a contract and number there. german was the first option when i switched it on but i could have picked another language if i wanted

i actually never bothered too much in the past, everyone who knows me personally can attest to that. i know people who listen to every Apple podcast and read every iphone blog to hear the latest news or you have the Android freaks, who root their phones to install ftp servers or whatever...

i usually install a couple of useful apps and thats it.

but: since these phones have excellent cameras nowadays and work fine with google navigation and internet, it saves me from buying 2-3 other devices. and sometimes it even saved my ass when i got lost somewhere :1orglaugh

Yup, it took me ages before i changed over to smartfones (Galaxy S2), because i wasn't sure how much i actually needed one.

Now though, i couldn't really do without it. And it has saved me spending on other devices. I was walking about drunk in town last Saturday night trying to find a certain bar, then i remembered my fone GPS and found the place within minutes. Love it! :winkwink:

The Nexus is the pure Google experience and will be updated with their new 4.1 "Jelly Bean" software mid next month. The Galaxy S3 is faster but has the home button and a Samsung variant of the android operating system.

So it depends on what you prefer.

this and the HTC One are the current top dogs. The landscape is changing mightily fast.

The screen of this thing is HUGE. Comparing to the S2 the battery stands more - but my question is - is it worth to have this instead of S2 ?

after the first day of using it i'd say: if you're happy with the S2 and have no reason to get a new phone like a new contract, you can also keep the S2.

the S3 is "smoother" but the S2 is still a great phone

I'm really tired of no flash support on the iPhoney and shopping for an Android like the Galaxy S3 now...

battery is alot better on s3 vs s2 i noticed... major plus
