Ask Romney. He seems to have money.

Romney? Your butt buddy Obama saved his ass, didn't he?

Colmike7: I might know someone that can use your domain, I will contact him and perhaps you can work a deal for your friend.

Sounds like your friend's friend should have had health care. Doesn't his insurance cover the medical costs anyways, or, was he stupid and riding without insurance?

Sounds good, turns out that I don't need that one anymore :upsidedow

About the details, I'm not exactly sure and am going to try to find out tomorrow :winkwink:

(If anyone has Mitt's contact info, please pass this along :pimp )

Sorry about his misfortune but it goes to prove my point https://gfy.com/showpost.php?p=19030230&postcount=20

I am guessing that he was one on the uninsured. Collectively, we all will pay for his medical expense if he cannot but he will be stuck with the "mark of Cain"-- accidents happen this is not a matter of sickness ... That being said, didn't his motorcycle insurance have some coordinated or stand alone catastrophic insurance premium? We have that in this state on all vehicular insurance. It's over $600.00 a year here but I read the fine print it only covers over $500K WTF? Truly catastrophic. This state fund catastrophic insurance is coordinated with my general medical heath insurance so if I didn't have that the cost would be sky high.

That fund, if your friend was in this state would pay some or all of his costs. (Assuming his motorcycle was insured). One way or another you are going to pay ...

Worst case is you get marginal or shoddy medical care and have to live like shit because of non payment of medical bills.

Hope he mends up OK and I apologize at grandstanding on his tragedy to make my point but it might change the outcome of another's injuries ...

Does he have ICQ?

Helix 06-28-2012 08:22 PM

No worries. Uninsured people engaged in high risk behaviors will have their expenses shouldered by hardworking US taxpayers under the Obamacare mandate.

Colmike9 06-28-2012 08:24 PM

Of course, I had to post this today of all days.. :upsidedow

Colmike7... your intentions are good. But do you realize the medical providers are flexible with people not having insurance and will work with your friend to spread out the payments as long as needed? If he has a job, $9k in medical bills is quite small. He should easily recover financially on his own.

And if anyone's mode of transportation is going to be a motorcycle... the risks are known. It would be well advised to have medical insurance before something like this happens.

And bike/car insurance that has medical coverage. Worth every penny.

baddog 06-29-2012 08:26 AM

How much med-pay coverage would you insurance agents recommend a motorcyclist get?

True, I don't keep track of everyone's insurance situations, I was just relaying a message :upsidedow

I pretty much split the top of my head off before and got around 300 stitches and only cost me $50 with insurance :pimp

Sorry, I'll pass on this one and maybe get the next one who wasn't asking for it.
