You may want to find a new logo for PornReviewsPlus considering it's the Drupal logo. |
Use Bing.

I noticed that traffic had pretty much come to a standstill on one of my few remaining ranking sites on google, i did a check on the keywords it was doing well on and, yep, google has started dropping it - replaced by the usual tube suspects, torrent sites and believe it or not, an ebay listing and a mobile site!

A lot of keywords has been "pornalized".For example,i was ranking first for pink pussy years, and now there is maybe like 10 porn sites in top 100 and rest of youtube links and crap like that. And my site not even in top 1000.
|
As an aside, I just wrote a mainstream blog post, and it's ranking #2 34 minutes after I posted, albeit of only 42k results. Still, that's definitely a record for me.

Are you signed in to Google?
Canadian .ca results gave me all different sites, and .com only showed two from Dailymotion... :D |
Try logging out. Those are not the results I get . . . not even close.

Google is useless. I'm searching for very specific terms on a subject I'm researching, and I get the same site (different pages, though - over and over) - even if the term I'm seaching for is not listed on that page. I do not know what bizarre combination of English language words Google wants me to search for to get to get even a taste of relevant informantion.
Inbound social media links > actual information and relevance. Here's a little project for people who like to lick hairy Google anus: Pick a niche. Boots for dogs. Ingrown toenails. Blondes Licking Ice Cream... Doesn't matter. Now make a website with lots of information, but cover every inch of your "above the fold" space with a flash banner. You will never get listed anywhere useful. A Youtube video with 18 views will be listed ahead of you. With a big ol' Flash banner and a "You can skip this ad in 5 seconds..." link to boot. Information is irrelevant. Google has about as to do with distributing information as I have to do with the weather. Baddog doesn't realize that Google feeds him results based on his search history - whether he is logged in or not. If all you do is surf conservative news sites, you're going to get results that differ from someone who searches for lawnmowers, fat dogs with bushy tails, or even busty old women with an overbite. Being "logged in" is irrelevant - as is Google itself. Google is geared towards generating revenue. It has no interest in disseminating knowledge. |
I've changed my default search engine to bing a month ago.. never been happier

Next thing you are going to say is that "boob massage" gives you the same results as boob massage and you are whining that G doesn't read Flash? You can go around it if you must use Flash. |
it's like that for many keywords these days...

Baddog is the Paul Markham of SEO. He is clueless, but pretends he knows it all. :1orglaugh His reply to garce :1orglaugh

My Bing traffic is way up and converting. My google traffic is up, but it's shittier and the bounce rate is high. |

My results are quite different than the op's as well. But according to some, threads like this are irrelevant since not a single person on earth will have identical results anymore on google search. Unless it's their first search ever, or have identical search histories.
Web History used to be able to be turned On or Off, but came On by default. It can also (if I'm not mistaken) be On or Off when you're logged in and On or Off when you're logged out but I haven't checked in a while. The screenshot of results above says "About 424,000 results" while mine says "About 2,730,000 results". How about someone explaining it properly for once? There are no ego's too big to learn something new. edit: if you double quote the search then it's limited to 425k results so remove them and try again. |

been getting search queries like
{search term} -dailymotion so obviously some people are getting tired of seeing nothing but dailymotion results for their searches! |
